That shows Farah could outkick anyone he met at whatever pace the race was run.
It doesn't.
He has never done it in a fast race (you missed the last 4 decades, 13:03.39 is not fast anymore). Even more, Farah has never shown he can just do a fast 5000m - no. 58 all-time).
Farah beat everyone in a succession of global finals - 5k and 10k - whatever the pace. 13:03 was still a fast race in his era. But whatever. That's a body of achievements better than Ingebrigtsen has done and will ever do.

Oh, it’s rather clear you’ve confirmed what he wrote. And to think at first I thought he was joking.
As far as kicks go, Hocker being able to peak and clock 52.6 at the end of a sub 13 is bad news for Jakob. He has never done anything like that. And Hocker did that after having run a prelim. Jakob’s titles do make him an all-timer, but he does not have the best kick. He does have a great long drive from 1200 out. But until he blasts a 51 or 52 in a sub 13, he is not a devestating, sudden change of pace last lap runner. Hocker is a little younger than Jakob, so the next couple of seasons will be interesting to say the least.
You nailed Armstronglivs, in that he always confirms what people notice about him, then denies it to the hilt. His people are always whiny and indulging in projection. What do you think is the source of his jealousy of Jakob? Is it really just some form of gay rage and frustration as many have suggested? I agree that’s the root of it.
You've just confirmed what I said above about personal attacks. You have no arguments of any kind. Just an obsession with another poster.
The most ridiculous thing about this thread is that it was posted after Ingebrigtsen failed to qualify in his main event at the last world's and got buried in the 5k, where he finished 10th. In no race was his much vaunted kick evident. What was evident was that in the 5k Hocker went from 12th to 1st in the last lap, passing Ingebrigtsen as well as everyone else in front of him and absolutely making a mockery of the claim that Ingebrigtsen historically has the best finish in that event. It was a repeat of Paris in the 1500. The King is dead; long live the King.

No, 26 seconds over the then WR, 13:03 was not a fast race. No, definitely not better thean Ingebrigtsen's achievements so far. MF- JI 1:48.69 - 1:46.44 3:28.81 - 3:26.73 3:56.49 - 3:43.73 5:06.34 - 4:43.13 7:32.62 - 7:17.55 8:03.40 - 7:54.10 12:53.11 - 12:48.45 26:46.57 - 27:27 Jakob's much better PBs (including 3 WRs) and the fact he medaled from 1500m to 5000m (compared to the much easier combo 5000m/10000m for Farah) clearly gives the nod to him.
Without a super fast time in any event, Farah never can be ranked really high in any all-time ranking.

NO ONE has accomplished what he did, a REPEAT of "the Viren double" - Olympic 5k/10k golds in consecutive Olympic Games (plus a bag of wc titles in the same). Ingebrigtsen NEVER will.

Honest question, why do you ignore the fact that Jakob missed a significant amount of training due to injury? Sure, he showed up but most honest fans knew that he was an extreme long shot to be top seven in either of his events. Do you realize how comically dishonet this makes your arguements appear? Sure, we know you don’t care, and what you actually try to do is irritate the rabid Jakob fans. But why? Just curious.
Back in the day did you make excuses for a top form Snell, who while running one of his fastest miles still lost to a high schooler? Is the next target of your jealousy Lutkenhaus, should he continue to develop, as is likely?
You fail in giving correct numbers and you do wrong conclusions (from your wrong numbers). It's ALWAYS the same.
It's just beyond you - and always will.
He was 20 when he ran his pr; he's 24 now.
But more to the point - he hasn't run faster and given the form he has lately shown he never will. Game over.
Btw, Jakob’s 1500 PR was run in ‘24. That was last year. What did you actually do for a living? You certainly aren’t a lawyer. Sure, you can try to counter by saying you’re remarking on his 5k, but all he has been doing running to win in that event, which he did in all his 5k races until injured this year. His Olympic win last year must have left you crushed.
Some suggest you have a gay frustration/fixation on the lad. Is this true? If so, that makes it easier understand your outsized, extremely abnormal and very visible obsession. Have you sought psychological counseling to help you overcome this problem?

All Army will do is give you some version of “I know you are but what am I?” or scream about being off topic, which is literally his forte.

The thread is about him running the 5k. He ran his pr at age 20. He hasn't run faster since. With his injury issues it is now unlikely he will. That applies the same to his 1500 pr.
This is a thread about Ingebrigtsen so like you and every other poster here I have commented on the topic. Your obsession with what you imagine about another poster indicates you cannot separate the personal from that which is factual. You sound quite disturbed.

I am not denying he was injured. In fact that is my point. As a result of his recurring Achilles injuries he was demolished at the world's. He cannot acquire new Achilles tendons so the likelihood remains that these injuries will keep recurring. That spells the end of a career.
In view of where he has come to it also renders absurd the claim in this thread that he has the greatest kick of any 5k runner. 10th in the worlds makes a mockery of that claim, especially when Hocker went from 12th to first in the last lap of that final.

You called it! He’s even pulled out the “off topic” card just like you said he would. LOL. On the other hand Armstronglivs is obviously mentally ill so he’s an easy target. I really do hope he gets help.
