Man, so sad. What a story. Honestly I often wonder how many transcendent talents get tossed from the sport from bad injuries peep/rehab. So much of success is just durability. You mix durability with insane talent like happens 1 in a million times, you get Usain Bolt, Bernard Lagat, Hicham El Guerroj or Kipchoge. When you have talent but no durability you get folks like Dathan, German, etc.
