Maybe I’ll get flamed again for this thought, but getting dropped so easily I just don’t know. Do they need a 14:15 in a time trial to be there in the kick?

After 800, it was like 69 69 70 70 71 etc, for leader to leader- nothing slower than 71 but maybe once, then 68 and the final 200. If they are sub 14:35 runners at their PB in good conditions, it makes sense they get dropped at 14:40 in some heat after a 5000 qualifying round a few days ago.

Why would we not run Bromell or Bednarek on the 4x1? Unless it has to do with chemistry. This is why I wish team USA was seeded 2nd and needed to put together a top team to win. They will win by over half a second as long as they have good chemistry.

Cranny’s PB is 14:33 but that was done with a 6 minute first 2K which can’t be ideal…We can’t act like the 3:15 first K isn’t helpful, it’s a jog.

Sure, Cranny is a shadow of her February/March self, but then she did say herself she bonked from REDs in April May so not surprised she couldn't sustain that. Doubted she was still in 14:33 pace.
2:52 is 14:20 pace. That is going to put some weight in your legs even if you are in 14:30 shape. 14:20, back down to 14:55 pace (actually was 2:59 4th km), then accelerating again is gonna wreck a 14:40 runner.
Rojo could be the world's best broadcaster, and NBC still wouldn't touch him. This place is such a documented cesspool of misinformation and crap that he's nothing but a liability to any actual professional company.

It blows my mind that this post has 25 downvotes and only 9 upvotes. It shows that people just don't like the truth a lot of the time. They are set in their ways.

She’ll be back with a vengeance next year. Only training since May 5th and quite competitive.
She will be 30 next year and will never approach her peak of 2019. She will still win some races but the best years of Sifan Hassan have passed.
People forget how long Sifan Hassan slogged in the game, losing medals until she finally broke through with that 5000m bronze in 2017. Father time undefeated.
