Tough one tracking down all the donations made and sponsors/charities involved, especially the 'money in the bucket' stuff. Most of them don't want to get involved because of the bad publicity it attracts for their business or charity even though the business/charity is totally innocent. It's all about perceptions when it comes to the public making donations to a charity or using someone's business, which is why WWTW want nothing more to do with this pair. Particularly tough for charities because it becomes guilt by association and they get accused of not accounting for and distributing their donations correctly etc which makes the public very skeptical.

Also, what happened to nine mile photo Terrie found?, haven't seen a copy of that anywhere.

I would have thought that being fully open and transparent would be the best policy for a business or charity since they exist on the trust of the public, especially for a charity.

I'll put that mile 9 photo from Terrie into the next investigation summary update along with the screenshot of the zoomed in shoe. I'm hoping I find something more with the bib number recognition software.

I should add that I have contacted some of the sponsors myself personally and some of them have been transparent and open to communication. I respect those sponsors for that and can gladly say they have integrity.

What about the 5 grand from Nicky at Mattressman? Did he give that direct to them, trusting it would be added to the charity page, because it wasn't.

Is he saying how he donated it? Why on earth didn't he just stick it on the WWTW official donation page?

I actually find his position at mile 9 suspicious too. He's with people finishing in 4.07, so he's not really fast enough to be with them legit at 9 miles, as his true marathon times are over 5.

As he no intention of running it all, could have popped in and out anywhere!

Terrie claimed she spent days looking for photos of him, and only found the mile 9 one!

She either has no clue he cheats and he's fooled her too (doubt that) or he was on the course about half the time and she was desperately hunting for more photos of him, but only found the mile 9 one.

This had crossed my mind too, but then I remembered what Joe the Driver said which indicates she was in on it:

I think they always planned to cheat the whole LEJOG and were definitely planning on faking the record.

He stated very clearly on a post with his London acceptance form that he WOULD be returning to London as a record holder.

Terrie here also seemed pretty sure.

Plus look at the timing of the trip. It had to finish in time for London and he knew he could never do that, so the entire thing was set up from the start.

They obviously new nothing about the Mark Vaz scam, when he returned claiming he'd broken the record.

They thought it would be easy to fake!!

Do you think he has enough acknowledgement now Terrie?

He was over 5 hours at London the year before. I don't believe he could do a 4:19, and the 3:12 claim was a total joke.

He couldn't run that pace for 5 minutes.

Don't know why he's even bothering cycling it next year. Cycling a JOGLE is no big deal and no one will care.

He'll have to fund it all himself because if we get one SNIFF of a sponsor we will make sure they know all about him.

So why would he want to pay all that money on a trip that no one gives a toss about.

Of course, he can use the stolen 5 grand to fund it.....
