RE: Cheating at Marathons

So on that article posted earlier (http://q1019.iheart.com/articles/local-news-119078/san-antonio-woman-running-her-1001st-15426108/) says "and will be her 1001st Marathon, setting a world record for the most Marathons run by a woman."

As someone who has applied for a GWR and researched it extensively, how will she get documentation from her first marathons? Seriously, the two witness statements required ask for so much info, of course she could forge it and GWR could accept it, but she didn't set out at her first marathon with this intention and witnesses could be dead by now.

oh I see the problem, these crap reporters don't know how to research anything. They are just taking her word on her Press Release...

She got her fake world record in December.

Guinness are a joke.

She has done some official marathons that can be proved, but the majority are just signed off by Larry Macon at the races THEY organise "I ran marathons".

And she does the same for him, he's as much a scammer as her.

Guinness don't care. They have been sent proof she did NOT attend loads of marathons she claimed, and they aren't interested.

They would give anyone a world record, no need to show evidence, just fake it.

Guinness checked up on her and just saw that Larry had ticked her off as a finisher at their OWN races and she does the same for him.

That's all the checking Guinness do.

Organise your own races with a mate, don't run, but get your mate to put you down as a finisher and then win a world record.

Utterly pathetic.

She'll never stop. How she has ANY supporters is beyond me.

How can they not have heard about the investigation?

She apparently also ran a Kilimanjaro marathon, called Kili extreme marathon, this weekend, i am going to do some digging.

Why would your blood boil about something so silly? If your blood truly does boil over this then you should seek professional mental counseling because you have problems.

I got her dumped by a sponsor a year ago.

Keep digging re any marathon you hear her or Larry doing and pass the info to Derek at Marathon Investigation. if it looks like they didn't finish.

She claimed she was running her own marathon whilst also doing the Everest one! Both appeared on her list as completed.

I think it's pretty infuriating that in life in general, fraudsters get away with so much, and people just sit there accepting it. It's really not okay and turning a blind eye is wrong.
