It doesn't make a difference. As entertaining as this thread has been, all new posts are generally one of 3 common denominators...

1. Conspiracy theory on how Kip cheats.

2. An argument about "The Article" that sounds more like Joseph smith defending his reading of the golden plates.

3. That everyone and everyone is probably Kip.

At some point, which is pretty much rapidly approaching, this story is old.

Let me submit that what makes this such a fascinating story is precisely the disconnect between all the FOKL(friends of KipLitton), who insist he's a great guy and the undisputed fact he's a complete WACK JOB who compulsively cheated in races with no discernable motive besides puffing up his own ego.

If there were more of a motive, say, if he had planned to embezzle charity funds, or was planning a book about running 50 sub 3 marathons as a master in 50 states, the story wouldn't have the interest and legs it does.

I also continue to maintain that once the full story of Kip Litton comes to light, not even his closest friends will continue to hold up his supposed character and virtue as a shield to explain away his fraudulent running exploits.

This is just the tip of the iceberg.

For those supporters in denial let me suggest you ask him about a non-running incident-- his short "hiatus" from dental school.

I, SOKLR, am not Kipper. I am a recent college grad and former NCAA runner. I've been visiting letsrun.com for years, unlike Kipper.

Why am I not naming the magazine and writer? I'm sooo tempted to, but Scott Hubbard and Ouch1000 told me to wait. The only clue we're giving is >1million circulation in 2009.

I think joining this thread 2-3 days ago is considered new... which was a few pages ago.

I'm guessing 2-3 people are on this thread posing as different people which is probably why the thread was banned in the first place.

What would naming the magazine do. Would you believe then? I mean really?

The main reason for the article hold up is that the author wants to interview Kip, or at least that was my understanding as of early last month.

The article really doesn't change much though, it won't stop Kip from cheating.

There is more then one person working on this, Study of Kip Litton Running & blog is just the most public of individuals. Some of the stuff that is going on regarding his cheating isn't made public on this thread.

This posting isn't some smoke and mirrors attempt either.

There is no article, folks. Can't you see how you are being led on? One of the people claiming inside knowledge of the article was already busted earlier on this thread using an alias and claiming he was the writer. Then suddenly after he was busted he stated that he was suddenly not longer writing the article, but had handed it off to someone else. Then a writer for a major - unnamed, of course - magazine was going to write it, but only if Kip contributes. The saga will continue. We'll just have to wait for the next excuse.

One of the eye-openers for me in this thread is how apparently gullible that seemingly intelligent people are about who they pay attention to on an anonymous internet forum. Many people seem unable to spot a poster with a transparently obvious agenda such as JOKM and who that probably is and how easy it is for him to sockpuppet and give the impression that people agree with him.

So Hi Kip and your sockpuppets, any chance of an explanation of the very suspicious number of DQs yet? Just explaining the Delaware Marathon race director's comments would be a start

Agreed. Maybe the mods can clean it up again, and keep it to #1. Kip cheats; here's evidence; discuss how he does it.

#2. The Article thing is just BS. ScottH got caught in his trolling and is trying to keep the act going. Delete all posts related to his game. He's just another 430miler-type of troll.

#3. The story's very old now. The everyone-is-Kip angle will dissipate on its own.
