He says this was the first time in history that they used white floor coverings to protect the grass which highlighted empty spaces.
This is false as they used white floor coverings in 2013. He is also clearly talking about physical crowds here.
He says that there were 420,000 that used the Metro, more than Obama's 317,000.
This is wildly false, the Metro released numbers that are completely different. The agency said that Metro usage was the lowest in at least two presidential inaugurations.
He said that the photograph posted on Twitter showing the crowd size was deliberately misleading.
It was just a photograph from the same aerial view shot shortly before noon in Obama's and Trump's events respectively. So he is disputing the legitimacy of the photograph with no alternative evidence to show it has been doctored.
He says that "this was the largest audience to witness and inauguration, period. Both in person and around the globe".
This is just false, and also shows how Spicer now saying that he didn't mean the physical crowds is also false.
How can anyone not accept that Trump's team has been lying here? There has been much worse lying and mieading going on that with the establishment Trump is supposed to be wiping away. Why didn't he just say "yeah the crowds weren't as big as in the past, who cares?"
He was supposed to be a breath of fresh air, a straight talking man that won't deceive people.

Trump also said to the CIA he thought there was a million and a half people at his inauguration.
He also told the CIA that the media was making it look like he disliked the intelligence community, but he tweeted negative things about them from his own Twitter account.

Taxes: So far, taxes were cut on the rich but raised on the middle class and poor, effectively transferring and making the rich richer. This was not a tax cut to the majority.
Increase domestic energy production: Keystone will move Canadian oil nobody but the Chinese want (it's tar sands oil). Financial benefit to the US, basically zero, unless you're the rich, again.
Dump Obamacare: He is going to dump Romneycare, but there's no replacement, and insurance companies will raise rates. The rich benefit, the rest of us pay more.
The Wall: It won't be built. Forget that one.
Meanwhile Trump is signing executive orders. He-he-he. Pipelines, steel, TPP. Yeees. Bet you guys wish the President didn't have so much power. Me too, but I don't make the rules, I just play the game. Maybe next time we form a government you might want to stick to the rule book. Oh well.

Did you know that in general crowds inside are usually smaller than they look while crowds outside are usually bigger than they look. As usual, I am the expert on this topic, having actually counted heads at a Tea Party rally where I estimated the crowd to be 1,000 people. It was actually around 2,500. Crowd estimation is really hard, and subject to bias for those who have a stake in the outcome.
My current best case scenario is that Trump succeeds at ramming through much of his agenda in 6 months to a year and then walks away. He will say that he has done what he came to DC to do and his highest best purpose is now to go back to the private sector.
he resigns, right winger pence takes the reins and frankly everyone is happy except the really angry red hatted one who hate liberals.
clearly many on his senior staff are completely against Trump - they leaked highly critical information to the Post today. On just the 3rd day of his administration.
Trump will not be able to control the white house - he'll be desperately lonely and angry and will look to get out of there as fast as possible.
He'll declare victory and run run run.

Whoa! Obama's lie about keeping out health plans and saving $2,500 per family per year is waaaaaay worse than any dispute about people on the Mall or the number of illegal votes.
BTW, what's the plan for counting illegal votes? The NYT must know the number since they said Trump lied. I assume we are going to do that since we now HAVE to prove that Trump "lied" about it. How do we do this?

Gary, I know this is really hard for your small brain to comprehend, and I'm only now taking this tone because of the tone you are taking with me, but I am not a liberal, I am not American. I didn't vote for Hilary or anyone. I am 100% objective. So stop trying to dodge the discussion by writing me off as a stupid liberal leftist.
Since you have accepted there is a science in determining crowd size then you will know that crowd scientists have told Trump his million and a half estimate is out of this planet wrong.
Regardless, I do not care about the crowd size. That is not what my posts are about. I care about a politician, the most powerful politician in the world, lying to the people. And you should too.
If I had voted for Trump because I agreed with his policies about keeping jobs in America for example, I would be absolutely outraged that he started lying to me on day 1. The man is a politician, not your friend. You don't know him and he doesn't know you. He won your vote, and seemingly your trust, on what he said he will do. If he starts lying to you you should be concerned and hold him accountable for that.
What if he starts saying he has no interest in changing immigration policy? Are you going to continue defending him? Or that he has no intention of building a wall, or reducing the intake of refugees from Muslim countries, or signs a free trade agreement with the UK or Europe? Do you still defend him as if you know he is going to do the right thing in the end?
All politicians, including Obama and people over here, need to be held accountable for their words.
It is not acceptable for a man to seize power and then start lying or going back on his word.
