MINNEAPOLIS — Federal agents shot a person in Minneapolis, Gov. Tim Walz said Saturday. City officials in Minneapolis also said they are aware of reports of a possible shooting involving a federal law enforcement agent.
The incident happened in the area of West 26th Street and Nicollet Avenue. It was captured on a video posted to Facebook and verified by NBC News.
“We are working to confirm additional details. We ask the public to remain calm and avoid the immediate area,” the city said in aFacebook post.
Two intersections in South Minneapolis have been blocked from traffic. Dozens of masked federal immigration officers are on the scene, and protesters have started to gather.
Officers have let off some tear gas and pepper bombs.
A DHS spokesperson said, “Suspect had a firearm with 2 magazines situation evolving. Will get you more information ASAP.”

Holy crap. This is the most damning video yet. It shows Border Patrol agents clearly taking Alex's firearm, running it away, and THEN executed him in cold blood by emptying a clip into his face. Murder.

Law enforcement will leave you alone as long as you aren't wanted by the law or not trying to interfere with their operations. Treat them with respect and do what they say. If the officer is in the wrong take it to the courthouse, not try to fight them. This isn't rocket science. Even for argument sake if he was unarmed, if he is reaching for an officers weapon that is enough of a reason for an officer to reply with deadly force.
When you hear about police brutality what you think of is unarmed black men being shot/ killed who weren’t a threat.

You clowns refuse to acknowledge the clear video evidence that has been presented to you. He was disarmed before he was shot. You expect him remain motionless while being pepper sprayed and beaten? He was shot several times and then shot AGAIN several times after he was clearly done. Unloading multiple rounds into unarmed, grievously wounded/ already dead person laying on the ground in an area surrounded by civilians. How mentally ill do you have to be to think that is "completely justified".
