NXN 2025 at-large bids predictions

So California gets 2 boys at large teams after going 11,15,17 (worst CA team placements when there was only ONE at large bid).

Such an irony.

I guess, if Rich Gonzalez is really part of the selection committee, it makes it less surprising because he lives in California himself

Last year’s picks were wayyy better

So instead of complaining about who got in, state a case with factual evidence for a team that you think got snubbed.

The picks were very Cali-centric

The Boise Girls beat Mira Costa (Auto Qualifier) by 92 points at Nike Portland. Like usual, another deserving Idaho xc team is left out.

I did. Boise stomped Mira Costa and lost to Heritage by 1. They ran closer to Heritage than AF or Niwot and actually beat the team that J Serra and Trabuco Hills did not. Boise girls got absolutely screwed in this.

The team that came in 8th in their NXR regional???

My bad. I see there is also one that was third in that regional from Boise.

Way too weak speed ratings for their #2-#5. They would get destroyed at NXN.

I’ve got no dog in the fight, but if I’m Mead I am furious right now. Losing by 1 point and not getting an at large is crazy to me.

Another way to explain it, all four California teams will beat Shen. This Boise team wouldn't beat Shen even with Shen's awful fifth runner situation.

I know how you people hate NY teams but I also know you couldn't justify a team making it that's less deserving than a NY team.

Going to agree here, also because Mead was closer to Stumptiwn than either of the other teams were to Carmichael. Also if I am Belen as they went to state thinking they'd have a spot if they won and got overlooked their #1 should be there he deserves it and he could have easily skipped state run at NXR and his team probably still would have won the title.

Belens number 1 seems like he’s a real team centered guy from what I seen in the interviews. With him not making it I think Nike should re think individual at larges. The state meet for him and NXR was in the same day. An at large would solve this.
