Macalester continues its undefeated season without Big John. But admire how they never mess around in races and tempo or some other nonsense.

Looked like some lackluster times across the board. Was the course particularly soft/slow today?
And MO’s undefeated season begins.
Seems likely several team were following the Gustie tempo plan.
Rumor has it that the saints were tempoing as well
Indy Schmindy...who cares.
I have to walk this one back a little. Indy looked very good tonight.
The Highland course seemed long and slow. Some changes from a few years ago.
Ihrke was in the race early, not sure what happened.
What do yall think of the other minnesota conference the UMAC over there?
No one has mentioned the absurdity of Mo's day yesterday. Runs 11 miles at 5:26 with the MDE team and then jogs a casual 25:21 with the Augsburg team to win by a minute!
And of course, he has been running 130-150 mpw the last four weeks!
Do they have coaches who can’t run a mile and don’t use science for coaching but get good recruits versus the school has “history” of success? If not, I like them.
How old is Mo?
It seems likely we’ll see all squads at full force this week at Griak and St. Olaf. Any predictions?
Im excited to see what we get out of Vista this weekend at olaf. Could be important step for their squad's nationals hopes this season
You mean coach Vista?
How much will the Oles drop in the national rankings after losing both their first meets? Will they be ranked heading into the weekend?
Oles, have you fixed your course? Rain, spikes, and asphalt will be a deadly combination this weekend. Highland is probably available.
The new road built over the Olaf course doesn't seem to be an issue. They laid out thick turf at the opener, and no one has complained on here about it.
Who does the regional rankings? Oles stay at 2nd, makes sense because they haven't really raced any teams yet. One of their freshman was within 10 seconds of JIrhke and would have been Mac's #3 at the opener. We'll see how they all do at the 8k this weekend. Mac made it at 7th, and both the Carls and Johnnies dropped two spots.
It looked like the MIAC wasn't going to be rolled this year but looks like Bati and the Oles have to carry the boats again
The Olaf women's coach is the ranker. Good to see that she accepted the Carleton women are better.
Looking forward to Griak. Can Macalester stay undefeated versus D3 competition? Why isn't Augsburg sending Bati to Griak where he may actually be pushed? I have been told Chunko asked the Gophers to get into the DI race because he didn't think the D2/D3 race would be competitive. The Gophers coach told him his team isn't as good as they think they are.
With two days of rain expect the Ole course to run similar to Griak. Normally we see about 50 seconds difference for 8K.
Bati should only go to Griak if he can run in the Gold race. If the Gophers won't let him in, he's better off jogging with the La Crosse team through 64k and dropping them in the woods. La Crosse won't race hard, but they'll run hard enough to score less than 20 points for a victory.
I'll never doubt Bati's ability to crush mileage, but running 64K while racing La Crosse may not work out well.

It’s a new strategy where Bati runs 8 times and scores as his own team for Augsburg.
