Even without Fox's public statements this is a ridiculously easy case for the prosecutor to prove. Nevertheless, hopefully it ends with a deal to deport him back to his homeland and a ban on him entering Japan again. How would sentencing the guy to jail/prison benefit Japan?
Yes, and people speculating that if Fox is deported back to Australia he would never be able come back to the USA I think is wrong because importing cannabis edibles is legal in the USA so, not a crime. It's not like he's importing heroin or cocaine into Japan.
Also Fox is in the process of applying for American citizen as a holder of a green card for a number of years.

I mean this is pretty bad. Not to put too fine a point on it but there is direct evidence all over the internet about his ramblings concerning THC, CBD and 'difficulties' importing it into various countries, including comments about Japan.
I wonder if this will come down to something like CCTV. Why the literal fzck would you try to courier illegal drugs directly between two airports? If he is THAT dependent on THC then he needed to get help or to not travel internationally to countries where it is prohibited quite honestly.
