not the best tactics from hocker, looked to be experimenting a bit early season, fun race
Note from Rojo:
I'll be giving my 1500 analysis live as the race goes on starting at 7:45 pm ET.

Then Jonathan and I are going to go live at 8:45 pm ET.

isn't these splits quite similar to the Donavan Brazier 1500m in 2020?
What talent
lol.
The 1500 guys ran that like absolute bums.
Well done Wanyonyi.
Do another instagram video Josh. Make sure you wear your sunglasses.

Watch out folks. This guy IS the talent. Yes, 1500 gold in the 1500 for him if he wants it. Hahahaha
OMG, he schooled. I’m sorry, that was a humiliating defeat for the 1500 guys. Seriously.
Wanyonyi showing what Brazier could've done if he'd stayed healthy
Insane race, I didn't think he'd win in anything under 3:40, and I thought Hocker was gonna be way more competitive.
Wanyonyi just won $100K
and he’s the real deal
it's a race for 2nd place money tomorrow.

wowww wanyonyi - would not have thought he would beat all 4 of the 1500m guys
It was 2 minutes through 800m.
Easy 100k for Wanyonyi
Need to see him race with Jakob.
ironic that kerr runs well when ingy is his pacemaker lol

King Emmaunel will humiliate Jakob in Tokyo.
Let’s be real, Jakob would have won this easily. 1:50 for the final 800m with a 3:30 win.

But didn't Hocker claim he is the worlds best racer?

As someone else mentioned- he did hold the mile road world record for a while there. So he’s got some 1500m/mile chops.
the wind probably played into nobody wanting to take a pace at the front.
that felt like a rust buster. lots of bad tactics and runners with normally amazing kicks all fading in the end.
That's some nice work from Cole Hocker the self confessed " best racer in the world"!

Who wants to give odds on Josh Kerr not running tomorrow in the 800?
+120?
- 110?

Just occurred to me that Sage Hurta Klecker just earned $20k for having a couple of B races by her own standards. It's a good time to be a combo 800-1500 athlete.
She got called in last minute too, I think, cause someone canceled. This is like the Diamond League. It's curated and who you know in terms of who gets invited. It's no better in that regard.
