Name dropped his dad, a local deputy sheriff. The officers confiscated the bong and remaining weed, gave him a $150 misdemeanor and sent him on his way. He then went and purchased the weed he was on his way to purchase and took a different route home.
I think many kids with privilege learn early on that they can get away with things and how the world works. Kids who don't have privilege take longer to realize that networks and connections are worth MORE than $ in some cases. Not even a black/white thing, it's a class thing to me.
Hopefully he got busted for something else. What goes around comes around.

"White privilege" is a core component of critical race theory, which posits that all whites are inherently racist even if they aren't actively behaving in an overtly racist manner.
