Whilst Holmes has looked very good these Champs, Bol is over 1 second faster on paper and has beaten her in heat and semi. Perhaps Holmes will change her tactic in the final, but Bol is faster over 200m too, so it will harm Holmes more than Bol if the American goes out faster.
Bol never had 1 second in hand of McPherson in 2022, hence had difficulty overtaking.
Diggs looked like she was flat out the whole race in semi 1, whilst Klaver looked like she was more controlled. Again, Klaver is faster than her over 200 and 400, so should beat her. But it should be a good battle for silver between Holmes and Klaver, possibly Klaver with the advantage because of the lane draw. However , if Holmes does decide to go out hard, kamikaze style, then Klaver's habit of allowing Bol to lead might mean she ends up with an elbow battle with jer teammate.
Booger hates Ned women for some reason, especially Bol. He always demeans her efforts and hopes she gets beat. He stated Bol would never get faster than her 52.03 in Tokyo. I hope Bol destroys the field.
Funny, in the BBC booth, Lyles just stated that [at some point in the past] he was offered an opportunity to do the decathalon and humbly declined. What could have been.
