There are so many things that are still so deeply confusing and strange about this case. And I think certain points matter.

1. Are Lauren and N*ck still married? Whatever agreement they have in their marriage, it is wild that Addy would be coached by someone who is still married to a known, confessed abuser. The only way it would make any sense that Addy and her family would allow Lauren to even be around her would be if Lauren is divorced and has zero contact with N*ck. Are they divorced?

2. Did Addy live with the Johnsons at any point and if so, why? Why couldn't she live with her parents or in the dorms?

3. Why did Addy see private text messages sent to N*ck from alleged victims? When and why did he show them to her? Was it after he was arrested that he showed her the messages, meaning that Addy and N*ck were still in contact?

4. is there ANYONE looking out for Addy? Yes, I know she's an adult and she's done some things she'll probably have to apologize for. But it is enraging to watch so many people just look the other way on this while we all throw our hands up.

She has never done anything in her life that she has to apologize for. She is about the best person there could be.

Nick, Lauren and Addy are all grads of North Huntington High and Huntington College, where all were running stars.

All 3 are born again evangelical Christians, which fit with the culture of HU.

Nick and Lauren were like a second family for Addy, supporting her running and academic growth in high school.

Nick was quite a jerk.

To be Christian and family is, however, to practice forgiveness. There can actually be real human strength in forgiveness.

Whatever happens between Lauren, Nick and Addy is their private business. If they can forgive and make it work, that's their choice.

It appears the legal side of this will continue to slowly disappear. Addy and Lauren are not charged with anything. USATF and adidas have no problem with Addy and Lauren, so she will compete for a spot on US Olympic team.

3. Why were they second family? And by second family, what exactly do you mean? Did she live with them? Or is "second family" just a figure of speech?

4. Nick is a confessed sexual abuser and predator. A confessed one. He confessed to doing it.

5. Are we talking about forgiveness or compliance? Are we talking about forgiveness or submission? Are we talking about forgiveness or silence? As Rachel Denhollander (a devout christian) said, it is a christian value to pursue justice.

6. It is not private when N*ck committed a crime. There is a police report. this is not private.

7. Adidas should have done more research and seen a red flag with these people. That's why I asked if Lauren is still married to *him*. They should have said, we can't offer you a contract unless you agree to new coaching. Being coached by someone who is married to a confessed predator, especially one Addy was so close with is horrible. Any decent responsible person would not want to engage or enable that, especially when coming from the outside.

7. I would assume both agent Doyle and adidas USA running have done their due diligence. Just because a few posters here on LRC feel she should have different coaching apparently does not make that a requirement.

The only thing Nick Johnson has ever been charged with and convicted of is identity deception. Other charges were dropped and remaining state case for sexual battery has not yet come to trial.

Interesting. A no-contact order issued by the court was in effect until November 13, 2023. So, why are you posting this lie here? You should have gone to the authorities almost two years ago.

Why would the court have issued a no-contact order between AW and Nick?

Wiley finally showed up on the start list for the 800 tomorrow at the world famous Lenny Lyles meet that you all know and love. She's in heat 1.

Not sure why she picked that meet to get started as a pro as opposed to a bigger meet.

Anyone want to take a guess at how fast she will run?

Not sure if Wiley actually did move in with the Johnsons in early 2022. But if she did, she would have been about 18 years and 3 months old, so a legal adult.

In Indiana, an adult victim is allowed to violate a no contact order without any legal consequence. So if Nick contacted Wiley, that's a violation. But if Wiley contacted Nick, that's not a violation.

That poster provided no proof that Wiley has been living with Nick and Lauren for the past 2 years. But if Wiley did decide to live with them, it's not a violation of the no contact order.

Bummed, I really hoped she'd be running the mile at Dr. Sander so she could win and qualify for the mile at Millrose. Would've liked to see how she stacks up against Muir and the top Americans right now. Oh well -- she knows where she's at, and I'm sure she's structuring all her competitive decisions around the Trials/Olympics.

The Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center offers a 200-meter banked Mondo indoor track, one of the fastest indoor tracks in the world.

The facility's mezzanine level offers 7,500 square feet of flexible team and support areas above warm-up lanes. The mezzanine level is accessible from stairs on both sides as well as an elevator and it was specifically designed to have power along the full length for athletes to plug-in devices. This area overlooks the track so teams won’t miss a second of the action.

Housing four-60 meter lanes, the warm-up area includes run out and stretching room. This area is equipped with speakers to allow the athlete to hear what events are being contested on the track. Hurdles can be placed in this area to allow hurdlers to warm up before their event. The warm-up room is located adjacent to the track to allow athletes easy access back and forth.

It's unlikely. Wiley only ended her track season on October1, so she is probably still building her base.
