After every regional, Jonathan Gault will be running Bo Waggoner's program to see who is in and out. He'll post the results on the live blog on the front page: https://www.letsrun.com/events...
biggest takeaway for NAU is Kang Nyoak, his best race of the season. finishes 5th ahead of Bosely and Las Herras. he's been up and down this season, but if he can repeat this performance in Charlottesville look out.
Southeast getting thrown out of wack besides North Carolina dominating as expected.
Furman and Virginia look like they are bombing out. WF is almost certainly done for as well. Huge ranking upsets here.
I'm really surprised that Gary Martin is so far back. He's 1:33 back at 8.5K. UNC men are really strong.
Yeah that's why I considered it more Furman and Virginia blowing up than East Kentucky and NC State running excellent. Both are true, but Virginia and Furman were expected to be 2/3 or 4 at worst.
Furman's done, and Virginia really needed Martin to score for them to secure top 3.
Schubert with the minor upset of Parker Wolfe. That's a big W for him. It has been nice to see him progress -- he never won a XC state title in CO (lost 2x to Cruz Culpepper), and Parker Wolfe was on another planet from those guys in HS.
There is no way she will ever run the steeple. One step off that water jump and her body will fall apart. No way will she ever do that.
Now, the 10,000? Yep.
That type of projection is ridiculously overrated. Bet on normalcy and you'll never go wrong. It reminds me of last year when Tua got a few concussions and every genius was expecting it to be a weekly event throughout his career.
The steeplechase is easily Valby's best chance. She's more talented than Wayment, who has made the past two teams.
NAU looked phenomenal today. Kang Nyoak finishing in 5th and beating Bosley & the rest of NAU, with the exception of Nico, was a surprise to me. If he can replicate this run in Virginia, I think NAU will walk away with the title. I think Prosser ran exceptional as well and I’m hoping he can replicate his run from last year. Colin Sahlman surprised me as well. 22nd is pretty good. I think he’s struggled with the 10K distance, but I think her performed pretty well considering he’s more of a 8/1500 guy
New Mexico just needs to find two more quality international student athletes to go along with the three international freshman they already have and they will easily beat both NAU and BYU.
