I don't get many of the pro-Russia and pro-Putin posts. Its very weird coming after this naked attack on civilians and a democratic country from a ruthless communist country. I am reading posts about the strength of Russia and the brilliance of Putin.

Where is this coming from? (rhetorical question)
Well the Ukrainians are flying back home to fight like Warriors, in the face of insurmountable odds. The Russians are drafting theirs and getting denied by others. Putin going down.

I don't see many pro-Russia/Putin posts. What thread you on?
A big threat to Putin here is his basic competence. Losing a war is one thing but losing a war because you planned it poorly and didn't foresee the most basic combat needs is another.
the Russians made a deal with the devil with putin: we will give up our freedom and we will be relatively poor and you will steal the nation's wealth....but the nation will be stable and organized.
Well this isn't stable or organized or competent. Putin lost a leg to stand on. And everyone knows it.
poll n=1: LRC poster thinks stopping foreigners from coming to work in the US is more important than russian tanks coming to destroy the Ukrainian government and end the post-USSR peace in Europe.

Niiice. Always trying to control the narrative. Oh yes- thank god for Brandon’s brilliant moves! LOL
Per yesterday’s Harvard-Harris poll, 62% of Americans say - KNOW - that this wouldn’t have happened if Trump were POTUS. (Including 38% of Democrats!)
I never said he was brilliant, I said he placed emphasis on rebuilding longstanding relationships with NATO countries that Trump had damaged. This was an act of common sense, not genius. I don't care what the poll says; obviously the majority of Americans don't know what they're talking about here. Putin is now facing the prospect of Russia being at war with the entire world and continues to escalate in the face of unified resistance and massive ongoing military failures. The idea that his friend Donald Trump would have deterred him from the path he has chosen is ridiculous.
What comes now that Putin has threatened nuclear war? The move wreaks of desperation and don't think the NATO countries are going to allow themselves to be bullied (at least, I hope they don't). Perhaps Putin has totally lost his mind, but it feels like empty sabre rattling to me. Regardless, those around him must be feeling extremely unsettled and concerned about his mental fitness. It's beginning to seem like it's only a matter of time until he trips falls out of that balcony.
You know, we heard a lot of propaganda around the "masculine" culture Putin was instilling in his military, which was compared favorably to our "woke" military here at home. Yet, it seems the Russian military is unorganized and unprepared and its soldiers do not have the stomach for this fight. Meanwhile, Ukrainian men AND women are bravely standing their ground, alongside their small, soyboy comedian president. Perhaps leading with empty, arrogant machismo doesn't produce the best results?
When asked if he had a message to Putin, the former president said: "I have no message." "I just think it's a shame that this is going on. It's something that should not be going on," Trump said.

Most of the pro Russia morons have already stopped posting after their country was humiliated.
In a country of ~144 million people, Russia has had a million excess deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.
Even more so than in the United States, many Russians are wary of anything their government produces or promulgates and many millions have refused to be vaccinated.
Since the epidemic begain, life expectancy in Russia has dropped by two years.
This all may be a factor in why the Russian people apparently are not backing up Putin this time, as they did in the conquest of Crimea.
Russia recorded almost one million excess deaths between the start of the pandemic and the end of 2021, as the country also reported its sharpest annual fall in population since the end of the Soviet Union.

Might be referring to social media rather than just LR. Increase of over 2000% -the number of people (conservatives obviously) supporting Putin after their fearless leader, Trump, voiced his support. That's some serious cult behavior right here the US and A.
When asked if he had a message to Putin, the former president said: "I have no message." "I just think it's a shame that this is going on. It's something that should not be going on," Trump said.
What a coward!
Copy of the infamous "Pee Tape" addressed to the New York Times just got dropped off at the FedEx Office retail location in Red Square.
