Larry Macon doesn't have a brother and I'm pretty sure he wouldn't want his only sister reading this blog or his wife for that matter because of finding out about his multiple affairs and pursuit of other women. I'd also say that if only 3 people were attacking Larry and Parvaneh that's a hell of a lot of writing to fill 115 pages on this topic. He may wish only 3 people knew, but that ain't the case. My favorite of the accusations is the phantom appearances Larry Macon makes and the unknown people aka never any other marathon records of "finishers" at Parvaneh's races where Larry is listed in the results so they get the 10 finishers. Sure is odd how the attendance goes up when Larry is there like maybe it's a fake group but they can fool for the Guinness World Record.

There's some suspicion that some of the names included with race results are faked to make the number of finishers always be at least 10 people because that's the number required by marathon clubs rules for the race to count for various things. With Larry Macon claiming these races as part of his legendary total, he needs at least 10 finishers to be listed in the results. If some of those people exist, they've never been seen before or after some of the IRan Marathon races and this may be spreading to Charlie's races. The common factor is Larry Macon using them for Guinness World Record marathon claims.

All of Larry's "achievements" are dubious achievements even if they were legit. Anyone with money and time could have these records.

Guinness book is full of novelty crap, and clearly not something many people take seriously. Even Guinness.

Marathon Maniacs and the 50 states clubs are a groups of mostly slow runners who focus on finishing huge quantities of runs. Great... I guess...

By the way PM seems to have been stripped of her Marathon Maniac status. Her number is Vacant. She was and I kid you not: #6666

How the heck she put down a 5:25 at the Houston Marathon? Thats 30 minutes to an hour faster than her other finish times the last year+

Not only that, Athlinks doesn't reflect all her 9 hr marathons that she records at her I Ran races.

Just to add another data point, I saw Parvaneh Moayedi at the Irving Marathon in TX last weekend. There was a section of out and back possibly around mile 16 or so and she was ahead of me. I had started near the front of the race (field was small) and was running consistent 8 minute miles. There was no early start according to the race schedule. Even after hitting the turn around about a mile later I then never caught up to her until seeing her right at the end.

Looks like the reason I didn't catch her was her average pace of 1:17 up to the 5.3 mile section, after which she was going too fast for the 9.2 mile mat to even register her, then an average of 3:56 minute miles up to 12.15m and she got to 21.7 miles in 2 hours 51 minutes. If only it hadn't taken just under 3 hours to complete the remaining 5 miles (finishing in 5:47), she could have had a PR...

Lets see the PM backers on this board try to explain this one...

Did you email the Irving Marathon RD? If you look at the splits for women between 45-49, she has the only "off" splits.

My verdict? Guilty.

I don't think she cares anymore - just going whole hog in now. Her "fans"/customers are not real runners and apparently have no sense.

This should be brought to the Irving Marathon RD AND the timing company, lest someone think they do a poor job of timing marathons... completely missing two slow runners...
