It gives a nice visual of how Kip probably only did the first 1/2 mile and the last 3/4 mile of the course. Most people park between those two points, so Kip wouldn't even have to get creative on stashing his change of clothes... he could have just walked to his car.

But I went through all of the photo's from the start. Saw everyone but him. Nowhere to be seen. How did he do that?

I was actually on his facebook dental page about a week ago and the first comment I saw was asking him about his cheating ways.

SOKLR - great job on the Solstice Run page! This is one pic I think you missed though. (it was originally mentioned back in January when we originally looked at the Solstice Run... not a new find).

Look closely, the guy/spectator in red way in the back appears to be recording. That could be a nice piece of video. Check out all 3 pictures in a row. It's a camcorder, not a camera.

haha i know - just making sure we have the correct race and year here - Solstice 2009. and how can you change shirts in a 10K? is that a 1st for him at the shorter distances?

i dont think he's changed clothing in the 5K and some of the shorter distances...e.g. @BAA 5k he finished in the blue windbreaker, @ Gasparilla 5K he was wearing the black sweatsuit walking

I'm from Michigan. The layout of that course and spectators possibly seeing him go to his car would lead him to do it.

Think about it. If you were near the end, you would actually stand out more as one of the last to cross. Someone would surely remember you if they hustled across to the finish line and then saw the same guy cross that close to the winner. At 4 minutes-ish finish behind Kyle at least one person would remember him near the end and wonder how he got past all those people to place so high and if so, why didn't he start on the starting line.

EASY course to cheat and I'm glad he got DQ'ed! Different clothes, hidden number, etc....crap, his sunglasses even look narrower in the finish photos versus the one near the start line....look closely.

I would say 99.99% sure that you are correct sir. It sickens me to be from Michigan and know that he has entered so many races and gotten caught but gotten away with so many others. Cheating at a Freep Relay? That is not typical and who were his teammates as I would love to hear from them. I would out him in 2 seconds flat if I were one of them. How could not one of them have not been on LR, know someone who's on LR, or google the guy for the fun of it and then share their story about him? Puzzling and sad:(

During the FP Marathon relay that Kip eventually admitted to cheating, his teammates had no clue. Kip was the team leader and he specifically chose a certain leg where he could short the course. Unfortunately, there were few competitors and the guys who he claimed to pass were other masters guys who never got passed. It took a long time for old Kippy to admit that he 'might not have run the entire leg' and once he did, his teammates were furious.
