Seth Demoor is BACK baby

It really bugs me that Seth is deleting comments and shadowbanning YouTube commenters on his vlog.

And now mods here are deleting posts. Clearly some DGR stans are upset that we are being critical of Seth's running and lifestyle choices.

I would absolutely love if a YouTuber made a hit piece video on Seth, so that we can meta-ratio his YouTube channel. If that video got 100k+ views, what would that say about Seth?

Not enough people know or care about seth to provide those views. Of those who are aware of him, most either join the ranks or move on. Like even if people knew of him, they'd be like "oh you mean that running youtuber? Why should I care about some youtube shadowbanning drama". This thread creates a warped reality. I bet we have less than 10, maybe less than 5, regular posters.

Around the 01:15 mark of todays video he has a drone following his car while he drives under a bridge. Don' t know if that' s legal but seems pretty dangerous, also considering he has to control the drone while driving on a public road.

I'm pretty sure the posts that are being deleted on here are the ones where people are talking about his family. I think that's fair. This should be focused on Seth himself. There's plenty to fairly criticize about what he's doing as a runner, all of the bad habits he teaches his followers (training, nutrition, recovery), the constant misinformation and dishonesty, the way he takes advantage of his fanbase, the declining quality of his content, his negative impact as an ambassador for the sport, his invasive filming habits, etc. etc.

As far as his actual channel though, it's a pretty bad look for him be deleting comments. I know there are trolls in there, but it's a slippery slope. You start by deleting those, but then it gets easy and pretty soon you find yourself deleting any criticism at all, even if it is constructive. I get it that no one likes seeing negative feedback, but he's only further reinforcing his echo chamber. All of his unchecked problems will keep getting worse, and he has some legit misguided views that need straightening out. He's already driven himself into this injury, and it's a direct result of him burying his head in the sand, and now he's just sending himself further down the rabbit hole.

What the deuce was today's video? He must have had the brilliant thought, "I know! I'll just do my rambling Shoedio content from my car!!! Plus, I'll do easy walks in performance oriented trainers because the shoe companies will love it! Note to self - buy more shoe testing gear to keep in the car.".

BTW - loving the wary and distracted looks at 2:20 into the video. Did someone with dark skin or a hobo approach your car while you were making art, Seth? Remember that they are also a child of God. Don't forget to seek beauty and love them.

His comment that any new reviewer would have to "learn the scoring system" may be the funniest thing he's ever said.

Anything you post on YouTube is fair game for people to make fun of, I don't care if you are Seth or the POTUS. It's the nature of online communities to talk crap about stuff. There is a rule on this forum to keep things civil, I think the comments here are actually incredibly restrained and civil compared to a lot of online discourse.

The amount of moderation on this board cannot be over eggaggerated. Come on LRC, so much for free and frank discussion. "Freedom!...as long as it's in my best interests and agrees with my narrative"

I like the old 2021 Meta Sky better...score 7.something. The scoring system is evolving and is very complex because there are sooooo many components of a running shoe. Yet another shoe battle today. With UTMB kicking off tomorrow you'd think our self-proclaimed YouTube expert and mountain runner doing a preview would be a no-brainer. But I guess that would put the spotlight on other people for a bit. Can't have that.

These running shoe battles seem like parody at this point. I can’t even hate on Seth anymore. It’s more like pity now.

There's a version of them that could be useful if done sparingly and with a consistent set of criteria that actually made sense. Like compare the Adios Pro 3 to the Alphafly 2 or the Takumi Sen to the Streakfly. What makes Supershoe X different from Supershoe Y? But with Nike cutting him off I guess then he'd have to pay for the new Alphafly.

With some actual prep work and writing, today's could actually be useful. Instead it's a rambling mess.

It was always pity for me, even back in Seth's heyday. He was a small dorky dude in a small house with a bunch of kids recording stuff. It was kind of endearing actually that he was so committed to running, and lived a simple life.

But, the vibe of the channel just seems different recently. I think he has spent too many hours rambling in front of a camera, and has too big of an ego. It doesn't seem like he has a passion anymore for this, and is just putting crap out there just to be out there.

Yeah, it's kind of sad and soon the FAA is cracking down on him and Seth has to find all that money for lawyers to fend of a lawsuit he could have easily avoided.
