The remaining Men's pacer still going strong with 40 min. remaining. Kosgei will have the benefit of 2 pacers right to the finish.

Wait for it. She is going to hit the wall pretty soon

Rupp doing what he planned to do. Break 2:11 for a safe race
And collect that 200K appearance check.
The real focus has to be Tokyo at this point (he can win the trials without running a step between now and then), but definitely uncertain how things will go for Rupp without Salazar.
I hate how they only show the wheelchair crap. like no one cares. also wtf is with cals angels, stop talking about that $hit, people are racing.
Also at 25k, it seems Betsy Saina either dropped off hard or it's another DNF for her. Marathon racing isn't going so well for her, which is a shame.
He's falling off the pace, but if he can even run 2:08 high that would be enough to be confident about making the team. Getting an Olympic medal next year, that's another story.

Kosgei is starting to pay for that crazy pace.
She looks fine what are you talking about.
kosgei is starting to grit her teeth. She's a tough runner but she's about to hit the wall.

Eh, sub-elites is the accurate term for them. Unless, of course, you're suggesting that 2:11 is an elite-level marathon.
Hint, it isn't.
Good for them getting paid for well-below-par work. Really milking the gravy train.
Who is going to win the world marathon majors this year? it’s been kipchoge for the past 5 or whatever, right? does cherono have a shot?
Galen and mo on mid 2:07 pace now.
Mo now 1.32 off lead @ 30k

3 KEN vs 3 ETH, who wins?
Still unclear.

at 25k, there is no way now that kosgei wont break the WR, its just a matter of by how much
Far too early to say that. If she's still on pace at 35K it's time to get excited.
Rooting for the pacer to take it all lol Absolute beast
You realise Bekele's marathon pb is 2 second slower that Kipchoge?

Last pacer dropped at the 30K drinks station
Kosgei 20-25km in 16:06, so not really paying much for the early pace.
On another note Emma Bates and Steph Bruce are crushing it. Should be catching Lisa Weightman soon.
After watching INEOS 159 challenge, boy this Chicago marathon is boring. All I see is people on wheels rolling. Where’s the competition?
