It looks like Pete started today's run at 2am West Coast Time (4am local) and did not start tracking until just after 4am. In the Delorme data there is a "No location data available" box for that period. And the map shows a 10-12 mile gap--about what he would run in 2 hours.
It looks like the Delorme may have been down for maintenance (?), or the data did not get properly uploaded. Anyone know if the team knows that happened, and if they can get Delorme to help fill in the gap?

It looked like they recognized this immediately via Facebook and made a plea to anyone for help/that Delorme contact them immediately. Looks like it got back online on its own so no idea what the issue was. I know he wears two GPS watches during each segment, so lets hope those were up and running.

Strava has his GPS data for the segment where the tracker was inoperable.
https://www.strava.com/activities/738331587The tracker is not for proof of distance -- primarily so people can find him at any point on the run to check on him either observed or unobserved, as part of full transparency. In their facebook post indicating the tracker wasn't working, they did include his start point and time and 6mph estimate, so Pete's location for those 2 hours was still easily available/accessible.
They're pretty much following the "best practices" from the RY report (I assume they had early access to them).
So, he should be able to get that fixed by Delorme. When at where he is today we need to add 2 hours and ~10 minutes, and ~12 miles. So, when he gets to 60 miles he will be at the ~72 miles he has been doing the last several days.
Ended with 59.21 on DeLorme. Add 12 is 71.21.

Extremely consistent. There is a long way to go but if he feels good with a few days to go for some longer days to get it done.
I went out and saw him Friday the 7th. Real good spirits and all smiles.
He's averaging approx. 70 mpd (minus the zero day), and if he maintains this rate he will finish in 44 days. Extremely impressive performance thus far.

He's actually averaging a shade over 70 mi/day WITH the zero day now.
Amazing. Pete ran his usual 40ish miles this morning and ended up at Iowa State, his alma mater.

I read a great quote from the Brojos from an old article about Rossi, something about how LRC is generally correct about cheaters and "for the most part, when there's smoke, there's fire." Pete is absolutely crushing this run, and there is no smoke. People are not "hating" on RY or KB, that's just what happens when the claim the impossible like 2:40 marathons in a transcon, or freebleeding yourself to a 9-day self-supported AT record in the name of permaculture trauma-informed yoga fitness theme parks...
This dude on the other hand is running like 70 miles on the dot every damn day, almost all of them at like 9-11min/mi, with full documentation and no juggling, handstands, vacations, or beer gut. And at that pace this is still absolutely one the most impressive running endurance feats I have ever heard of.

Generally agree with your excitement about Pete's consistency. But lose the "like" as there is usually a better way of constructing your sentence without it. Like you sound like a like generationally like handicapped like idiot. Get it?
