Why does this meet have three female distance races but only one male distance race? Zurich used to have all the Olympic or World final fields in all the events.

I wasn't expecting a WR attempt. If she went for it and blew up, she could cost herself $40,000. It just didn't make sense. I was also worried that Ethiopians wouldn't go for it in the 5000 for a similar reason.
All season long, I've never believed Semenya could run way faster than she has been running (which everyone else did). SHe's just better than everyone else . I don't see 153 but would like to see her in a time trial where she at least goes out in 55.

God the women's 110H are a relief after watching the men in the women's 800.
Not a great race by Harrison, but still enough to win.
Harrison wins in an average 12.6, but has the WR and the Diamond race besides not going to the Olympics.
Ruth Beita wins the HJ and the Diamond race.
Semenya after the race was hardly fatigued at all when congratulating the other intersex athletes for their 1-2-3 finish. Anyone who wins every single race in a distance or middle distance event without ever being challenged is substantially better than the times they have run. My feed faded out for much of the race, but I saw that Semenya let a huge gap emerge to the leader, so as not to get out all that fast and then ran easy to the finish ahead of the usual suspects. I plugged in 50 for 400m and MacMillan gave me 1:49.x 800m. With 4:01.99 in a sit and kick African champs win this year and a 50.8 400m probably unpushed, Semenya can surely run low 1:50 or better. If there is a sub 50 there against world class opposition, there is also probably a 3:55 in this 1500m race. Obviously, no woman has ever had this ability across 400-1500m.
