I don’t care. Has nothing to do with the subject of the thread.
Armstronglivs argues just to argue. Being a contrarian is the only way he has interactions with anyone outside the rest home staff. He was buried by several posters and all he could do was accuse them of being off topic, which is his specialty.
I dispute views that are biased towards the partiality of the commenter. Ingebrigtsen isn't as good as his fans argue. It comes down to the biggest titles in the end. Others have more and some, like Bekele, also had the records, which he will never have now. Trying to say Ingebrigtsen has the best kick is an attempt to award him a consolation prize. He doesn't have the best kick.

I would wager there are many on here, myself included for 12 years now, who are actually practicing attorneys. When you say you “qualified” I assume that means you graduated from an acredited law school and subsequently passed the bar? Or is the qualifying procedure different over there?
Then start a new thread about that topic. The only question now is how many posts will it take for you to realize you have bombarded this thread with irrelevant, butthurt, tangents that have nothing to do with the contents of the thread?
So still having difficulties coping with views that don't match your own.
He was injured, but his performance in 2023/2024 shows that he has the best kick ever in the 5000m. Any discussion on present form is irrelevant. Also, any discussion on World Records are irrelevant as well.
His present form is everything. That's where he is now, including his "kick". He wasn't injured in Tokyo. He was merely slow.
So what? He doesn’t run to please you. He has run every championship 5000 available to him other than in Tokyo 2021. And among those championships, he has the fastest ever finishes among various final distances (final 400, 1000, 2000, 3000 etc). That is literally the point of this thread. But keep going, it’s amusing watching you get butthurt over the simple facts I laid out in my original post. No amount of going on tangents changes that fact.

I graduated from a major law school in my country and passed the bar exams. I was admitted to the bar and am able to practice as a barrister. I chose to work in journalism, as quite a number of others with legal qualifications did and for a number of years was employed by the BBC in news and current affairs and with a specialty in political journalism. I regularly interviewed prime ministers. I am retired from that occupation and have taken on another vocation in the arts. I was a competitive runner in my youth - Lydiard-inspired - but now play tennis for fun and exercise. I also coach.

Wrong.
Only Farah has more.
Try finishing reading a sentence to understand it. I was making the point that in addition to his championship titles Bekele held the world records over the 5k (and 10k). Ingebrigtsen hasn't and never will. He has only won in slow races over the 5k. When it comes to kicking, Hocker clearly leaves him in the dust - over any distance.
If you assess athletes by their career achievements Farah's title wins far outstrip those of Ingebrigtsen. Farah's ability to double, with his five 10k global titles, put him in another class altogether. That is the crucial difference between them. With his injury issues Ingebrigtsen may never win another global title.
It has everything to do with it. That's what a great finish achieves. 10 global titles to Ingebrigtsen's 4.
How many global titles did Farah have when he was Jakob's age, you decrepit old fart?
How many titles did Ryun get past his peak of 21? When did Amos run faster than when he was 18? You naively assume that all top athletes follow the same career path and that they must get better with age. Ingebrigtsen will never match Farah's 10 global titles; his body will break down before he can achieve that. We see it happening now.
Since you are a little slow I have repeatedly maintained that Ingebrigtsen is not the greatest 5k kicker in the history of the event. Others have won more of the biggest titles with their finish or beaten greater competitors with their kick (as El G did to beat prime Bekele).
