I think this is smart. Hoppel's already going to Worlds. Why risk something in the rain? Put on a cozy sweater and drink some turmeric tea with Vitamin C, Bryce!
Anything yes, anything or anyone that beats the arrogant Noah Lyles is a joy to me.
Salty Americans can't believe the fact that Jamaicans are once on top..
At this rate I see the best medal as bronze for the Americans over 100m at the world's .
1. Kishane Thompson
2. Oblique Serville
3. Others....
That's what I thought after the Jamaican Trials. And the US Trials were not as great as people think because a lot of wind made marks look better than they were. But some of the early stars don't look so strong, go look at the prior DL m100. Today tempers that take some.
Curious that Jamaica had problems qualifying a 4x400 team.

2 words: Oblique Seville”
People who pay attention to sprints all knew this…BUT 9.87 in the Lausanne conditions is incredible.
It SUCKED. Raining, water on the track, and cold.
This is easily…EASILY…9.7-mid/low in good conditions, and possibly 9.6-high in perfect conditions. That would be rare company, historically. I think only peak Bolt and Blake might have beaten Seville today.
This was huge, IMO the biggest M100m result so far this season. Thompson wins on early/mid accel, Seville takes over in transition, and Lyles charges into the tape. Who wins?
Right now, and for most of this past season, I would pick Seville. Thompson really needs to clean up he last 50—either that or just go fully insane in the first half, which he might be able to do, but slim chance. Lyles will improve, but can he stay uninjured while working on power starts, and driving low? That’s some heavy load, he will have to be careful.
Meanwhile, Seville looks complete, hopefully he can hold it together until WC. Bromell also looked complete earlier on, but couldn’t hold it.

Hoey progression TGTBT (without PEDs). But hey, the whole 800 is likely now littered with juicers. Can't beat em? Join em.
I want to believe that Hoey has been running as he is just by training better, having a better diet, better sleep, and the new legal supplements like bicarb. I’m having a hard time believing it, though.
Someone give a compelling argument that he isn’t using PEDs. His progression just seems TGTBT. In the history of the sport we have not seen that sort of progression by someone that is Hoey’s age.
Klaver on leg 2 of the Dutch 4x1 again, destroying the other second leg runners. Germany should thank Luckenkemper's fantastic 10.05 final leg in the rain, much faster than the other final leg runners, for the win.
NED have done best with this line up...but the women's 4x100m is just 30 mins after the 4x400m final. It's doubtful Klaver will run both, it's just not enough recovery after a 400m.

It's crazy to think that 12 of the top 20 times in the history of the 800 have been run in 2024 & 2025. Something seems weird but with Hoey something really seems weird. Others have progressed but not like him.
is there a reason the pacemaker stays out there when they're 30 meters behind the lights?
just let them race at that point.
Pacemakers ruin races. You don't want to watch until the pacemakers drop out. Having fake competitors in every Diamond League race is way more damaging to the sport than even doping is.
