What's really crazy is that LR posters will waste millions more pixels and their time complaining for pages and pages that network marathon coverage isn't up to their standards. We get it -- you're super knowledgable and hardcore with insights ordinary runners can't begin to grasp. Now just enjoy the fact that there's national TV coverage of the race.

The women hit 15k in 52:29 (25 seconds slower than in 2021 when they nearly go the course record). Then they ran 5:43, 5:45 for miles 10 and 11. 5:44 for mile 12. All you need to know is Molly Huddle was leading at 11. 20 split is 70:20. In 2021 they split 68:59 so they're now 1:21 down.
Gidey and Obiri can make up a lot of that depending on when they decide to go

I don’t really disagree with you, but I don’t like how you’re so consumed by this complaint. Seems like the owner of “the internet’s home of elite distance running” should use their platform better than to rant about this.
Cam Levins has been dropped by Cheserek in the chase pack.
Okay so here’s something that really grinds my gears. A Canadian has NEVER won the NYC marathon, and this year Levins was by far the best hope to do that since he’s on a real tear the past couple years. Announcers didn’t mention anything other than “and the elite men are in front with Levins a bit behind them”.
Do these announcers not follow the sport and just do some last minute studying the night before the broadcast to catch up on all big names? We need the British dudes that do the track broadcasts and actually know and appreciate the sport.
