RE: Cheating at Marathons

Larry Macon would probably pay extra to get results from Kingwood on Jan 1st. Steve and Paula could say he started "REAL" early....and make a killing. He's such a scammer - and talking about Parvaneh having some boot and being injured - check out the shoes on Larry in some of the posted pictures. There's something wrong with his feet -just look and watch him limping off, yeah, I believe he does all those marathons in a row. right - we need to bombard Guinness with complaints. The Australia guy got robbed & cheated by the ultimate couple of cheaters Larry and PM. We need watchdogs at the races where he does his "series" because can't be.

Here's what I don't get about PM is that even if she runs half to a fourth of the distance she claims - that'd be 200 miles instead of 600 as noted above... and anyone moving 200 miles should be fit. So I'm just confused. She's not fit at all. Her weight has increased since this thread started and I first saw pictures of her. How, at even a very-loose 200 miles a month can she be this heavy? I just don't get it???

Hey I heard Larry Macon got worked up about this block where long pursued woman accused him of contacting her during the holidays but know it didn't stop him for long. Larry's not honest on or off a race course. Friends say he's a womanizer- can't spell faithful - why should he be anything else but a cheater all around. too bad word's not out before each race to protect us babes. Money buys results(not only race results) babes, so watch out

I do know Larry and have the opinion that He's a legit cheater. Seen him do it time and time again. It's getting proof without him attacking that's the problem. He's threatened people who openly challenge him with not seeing him at races with a lawsuit. If your legit, people know it and this blog wouldn't have over 2000 posts. At some point he crossed the cheating line and runners talk.

Wow, I mean wow! If this is true and these people are walking 22 minute miles and claiming to have run a marathon or 50k, that is truly sad. I hope that they are at least completing the distance that they are claiming to, even if it "appears" that they've obviously walked or a really slow shuffle. Me confused? Why would this lady and guy both do this and never get caught on video? Wow, I seriously mean wow!

I find Larry Macon to be the ultimate cheater and probably coached Parvaneh with instructions on how to do it. His ego is endless so he never will believe that he'll get caught. I did some races with him last year when he was pursuing me nonstop 24/7 with lines that I later head he uses on all women he pursues. I thought he had the hint that I don't think very much of him, but no - he sent me a recent message to which I graciously thanked him because he will just threaten the hell out of anyone who tries to cross him. Be on the lookout - I've heard from California runners who watch when he "supposedly" does a race but isn't really there that he'll send an email threatening a lawsuit if you call him on the cheating. Who does he think he is in the world of marathoning just because he has money?!?! It would be highly entertaining to find out how much he's really paid Parvaneh because she certainly is traveling quite a bit for someone without a real job and no apparent means of support-obviously more goes on than can be proven. And by the way, Larry used lines on me like he knows I'm such a good person.... but how would he even know what that is? Final analysis is Larry Macon should not be a Guinness record holder - he's such a cliche.

Larry Macon and Pavaneh M sound like a low life couple of cheaters. Why do people allow them in races? I pity some Steve guy who's her husband and the wife of Larry who ever she is must not be reading these posts because she would kick his sorry ass out and ask for testimonies from all the women he hits on. He has to be an a-joke with an a-hole reputation among runners. How did these cheaters ever get records - I figure simple explanation from reading these posts is they colluded to endorse the others cheating - again low life dirt

Larry Macon and Parvaneh don't get videoed because they're not really doing what they claim so it's impossible. The big thing about Larry is that he "buys" results. PM just seems to fake hers along with his. If you look at his Guinness "record" years, he has an excessive number of marathons in Texas and California during weeks he was at work as a big tough lawyer so how can anyone do a marathon everyday and work at a big high powered job. Not possible unless you pay off for the results and "self-report" your time. It's all a fake but unless the race directors who did this come clean, it never will be proven. Parvaneh's one of the race directors and Charlie Alewine isn't about to at this point.

Thank you for the explanation, but respectfully, I still don't get it. If he wasn't at races and it can be proven, why doesn't the same media that interviewed him (someone posted one) get contacted by someone with evidence of him cheating and then interview him again, with the evidence (if what you say is true that it can be proven that he was at work). This reminds me of a guy who lives in Michigan, Kip Litton. Too much pressure and evidence against him, he faded away and allegedly hasn't run any races again. Again, thanks for responding but I still don't understand why it can't be proven that he can't possibly be in 2 places at once?

GWR require a handful of independent witness testimonies to verify someones claim to a world record.

I have been a witness a handful of times for different fancy dress marathon records. However, you send the testimony to the person who is claiming the world record. I guess the witness testimonies may be faked too.

I wonder who has testified to all their marathons?

Who'd he talk too? I want more info! Outing of PM....you gotta figure someone would crack. Wish it was her badwater pacers/ drivers but I'll take Larry.

In PM's case her husband Steve, different surname so GWR don't suspect something shonky.

It seems that Larry Macon previously had more races listed on Marathon Maniacs than he does now. It looks like quite a few of the Parvaneh races and Charlie races have "disappeared". The number of races he claims he's finished keeps changing plus his totals lately are "less" than he did in all his "record" years. You can't pin him down to an exact number because he's got to realize he's been found out but that doesn't provide any restitution to the fraud claims he made for Guinness World Records. He never is at Parvaneh's races at the "real" time for the entire race and he never is at Charlie's races at the "real" time for the entire race. The early start is just an excuse to either never be there or partially complete the course but look like you did a marathon. What a cheater deluxxxxe!

Guinness requires the race directors to endorse the record applicants meaning Larry Macon had to have Parvaneh and Charlie vouch for him by signing a form letter he provided to them. He's good at the application process - knows the tricks and has even shared the process info with "special favorites" (aka women he hits on) so they can get records as well. Larry makes it "real" easy for them to attest to his participation in all those races without "real" witnesses -- bet that cost him some "real" money. When Larry's after something or someone, money's not an issue for him. This I know as multiple women have directly benefitted from the cheater. Can't say I blame them as it's a means to an end. Larry gladly pays for any attention from young, sweet women.

You may be right, but anyone can come on an anonymous message board and say such things about anyone and it means jack shite without evidence and names who can verify. Could be a case of put up or shut up.

Here's the thing - People are onto Larry Macon FINALLY for the cheater he is. I know people who staked out Parvaneh's course in San Antonio when Larry was supposed to be out there "running" the marathons, and he wasn't. There's no photos of him NOT there. When you have a crooked race director, one who also cheats or who's being paid off and who then will list him as a runner and vouch for his results - who can disprove that. There's plenty of people who know the truth - but there is a difference between knowing and proving. One guy who wrote in this blog with his real name got a nasty email from Larry threatening to sue him when all he did was state the obvious that he hadn't seen him on the course. The person who posts the results from Charlie's races also knows that there's cheating going on for Larry's results but isn't willing to take on the wrath of money and power. If the records were valid, Larry would show up at the proper time just like everyone else and not get "special" favors. He also wouldn't now change up or "delete" the Parvaneh races and Charlie races from the Maniac Marathon list. Lots of rules for the marathon clubs have come about because of his cheating and the inability to "prove" it - but people KNOW!! Then there's the cheating he does on his wife --- that could be a blog all on his own, and for that one, the proof is all over in photos and results.
