The official governing body of US Transcon has made a ruling. There is good news and bad news for Goodge. The good news is that they will recognize the run as an official run. The bad news is that they are demanding that the crew drive back to New Mexico and run those 3 miles that they skipped. They will not accept an additional 3 miles in NY to cover the omission.
He better run back then he might have the distance covered.....

Yeah, when I followed one of his links I went back to near the beginning of the thread, and I'd forgotten that Sneakers actually sounded fairly reasonable at first, before he started losing his sh*t and behaving like a moron.
If he really was unconnected with the crew in any way why would he have started getting so angry and abusive? He is clearly rattled and sh*tting his pants.
It was when he suddenly out of the blue had a dig at 'woke runners like Kara Goucher', that I first thought, 'actually, this guy seems like a bit of a idiot'. I still don't know what Kara Goucher has to do with this Transcon!

On Page 30 of this thread, Sneakers called Goodge “extremely handsome.” There’s definitely at least one poster of Goodge on Sneakers’ bedroom wall.
It’s because he doesn’t care about going coast to coast. He doesn’t care about the sport at all. He doesn’t respect the sport’s history, its traditions, its legends, its records, its standards, or its fans. He just sees it as a way to make money and gain attention for himself.
This. He just wants to live out his David Goggins fantasy and have a shot at appearing on the Joe Rogan podcast.
Regarding media coverage, for what it's worth Bad Boy Running, a British podcast, have had to take down episode 471 during which they discussed this issue at quite some length. From what I remember they didn't actually name Goodge or come down strongly on one side of the fence or the other of the debate, but they did talk about some of the red flags that have been raised here. The two hosts carefully talk about related matters from minute 21 onwards of episode 473, mostly discussing the ethics of using GoFundMe for charity fundraising events in general.

The Transcon governing body is in a back and forth conversation with Robbie and Will and the team. They are patiently explaining the differences between the Hudson River and the Atlantic Ocean. They have sent some Wikepedia links and videos of oceans vs rivers and I think they will soon be coming to a mutual understanding of the differences. They are not able to share the audio of their conversation because there were too many F bombs by Team Audacious.

And contrary to popular prediction, the hr pattern has followed the same pattern dropping to the low 100s for a big bulk of the run, despite him being accompanied by an adoring posse. So either tech is still failing or he is surreptitiously slipping in bits of paper while no one’s watching in line with Will’s latest slightly bizarre theory. Either way, Bad Boy have cancelled their critical podcast, Nucalm’s share price will rocket and WG is basking in the admiration of his fans for completing something that, in the big scheme of things, compares to Pete’s run as a 3:15 marathon would to a 2:30.

Just got a text from Robert Young of all people. He feels Goodge put the gauntlet down and he is ready to come out of transcon retirement. He likes the idea of running Australias transcon. With only two Brit finishers he is assured of a podium spot. And laz lake is too old to travel around the globe to watch him.

I would normally never say anything this crass and arrogant, but given the context... I'm still fairly young, and I'm actually better looking than Goodge! 😄 He's well overrated in the aesthetics department.
