What' s the point reviewing these Racing shoe? He didn' t even do any workouts in the Pro 3, just some easy plodding around Downtown Denver.
Also love the Durability prediction: Pro 2: 350 miles, Pro 3: 400 miles. Zero explanation.

Yeah I would love to know why Seth believes the Pro 3 will give you 50 more miles. Why not 40 miles? Why not 60 miles more? Seth wings everything he does and makes up a large portion of what he says on the fly. He just isn’t very intelligent.
Struggling to hit 1k views in 2 hours... Big yikes.
906 views as of now.
But I think that is only, because every one of his fans is out and about driving 60 miles with a NYC marathon poncho to a nice lookout for a nice 600 yard Sunday morning stroll.
They will watch that Adidas battle later.

Too bad even DGR isn't all that interested in watching a poncho-wearing lunatic aimlessly meander around.
I was thinking how annoying that must be. As much as we rag on him, Seth is following a well-trodden youtuber path - being goofy, being super positive about everything, and doing silly performative things for viewers, like wearing a headlamp around his neck and walking around loveland pass like a burrito.
After following Leadville coverage this weekend, I was unfortunately introduced to another "super positive vibes" youtuber who does bike stuff. I didn't realize how much of seth's schtick isn't unique to seth...it's like there's a playbook all these people are learning from. I think there are people like Casey Neistat, who are the influencers of influencers. But anyway, just be content knowing every sizeable youtube niche probably has a prolific lifestyle influencer who acts like a child and seems to make content for children, until you look in the comments section. They ALL dress up wacky constantly, have huge personas they never seem to turn off, are always filming every "wacky" interaction they have, and never acknowledge negative aspects of anything. I'm WAY less concerned about the influencer's well being, than I am about people who turn it on unironically...how do they enjoy this stuff? And don't come at me with "people like different things". There is something weirdly regressive about this type of content, like people want to be spoken to like a child and view the world like a child.
Thank you for coming to my ted talk

You talking about Ryan Van Duzer? I haven't watched enough of his stuff to form a real opinion, but in my "off season/base training" phase a few months ago, I was getting into biking and stumbled upon his channel for a little while. Didn't seem bad. Content was infinitely better than Seth's, and he didn't have that whole shyster vibe like Seth either. But I didn't stick with it since biking isn't super important to me, so who knows.
Anyway yeah, I'm just kind of shaking my head about Seth's choices for content right now. This guy has a self-proclaimed PhD in Youtubery. He's not running, he doesn't work, he has more time than he's had in years to focus solely on his channel and get creative with content. So many good ideas out there. He has the gear. He has the following and the community. Ideal location. And what's the best he's got? Shoe battles.
Absolutely just throwing away everything he's built.
Ryan Van Duzer also does Ultras. He's so much better than Seth in every way.

Seth's "problem" is that he "has" to produce a video a day.
Of course that's just in his head.
If he would do one decent video a week, he would have way more followers. His inside of the fridge sh!t show is just not cutting it.
Van Duzer is dating Amelia Boone. Another reason why he is superior to SJD.

This comparison to Ryan Van Duzer makes no sense. They are basically completely opposite besides the upbeat personality. For one, Ryan van Duzer has running friends. Seth is all about himself. He can’t even stand his own massive nuclear family. Ryan is not a selfish person. Many other differences that aren’t worth posting because who cares about this comparison anyway.

Still insufferable in my book. But that's not a problem, people enjoy his content and he doesn't seem to be pulling one over on him.

Poncho Walk 19/08/22
Many walks have been had, but few so ponchoed and simultaneously so solemn.
Another day, another Denver airspace violation.
At least it’s something newish. Seth, however, just pulls random numbers out of thin air. And his DGR stand hang on every word

I agree. This exposes his talent/work ethic. He must have tons of previous footage he could put together, he could give intricate details about his running in the past or he could do a sweat elite schtic. But he does neither. Somehow the only thing he bothers to do is a low effort rant about shoes, which is pulled out of his ass.

Quite a few very critical comments about how he reviews these shoes at easy runs only and how long ago it was that he actually used them.
Guys, are you a cadence or a stride runner? lol
