The person who writes that my personal best times are actually times that I can slow jog during a practice session (like cruising 70 pace for about 5-6 mile repeats in 4:40), I dont think he does that in order to sway the "public perception" of me on here or to others to think I am lying or have a negative view of me. I dont think that's why he does it.
I think he lies about my personal best times solely because he wants me to eventually get fed up, sad, and it somehow make me stop competing in elite track and roads competitions. I think that's his whole goal. His lies have never been about altering my reputation on here. Its try and shake my self esteem so I will stop getting paid with prize purses and trophies from professional level running events. Obviously he's going to fail at that, and I mean DRASTICALLY.
in the very recent past I posted my college teams entire xc schedule on here. I posted every meet I am taking my college team to this year. As far as my running is personally concerned, All that you would have to do is kindly and POLITELY ask me to post my personal races that I am personally doing in addition to the ones I am taking my college team to. That would allow you time to train and see if you can hang with me aka "The Chosen One" at a race. Of course, you would have to get approved into the elite section first, and even then you probably still wouldn't show up.
So that's what I think all this boils down too. Just some random nobody wants me to stop competing. Its never had anything at all to do with my D-II teams performance or mine as a coach or tarnishing my reputation on here. Its all just been about trying to make me quit my advanced racing career and "forfeit" my love for being a competitive throat-dogg.
Look, I only still frequent this site because I come from a very long ancestral line of educators in my family. I am an educator/professor of biology, and a collegiate coach of running. There is a very small chance than any young people still frequent this site; but that's chance, as small as it may be, is still a chance nonetheless. There is still a CHANCE that a young person on here may need help and instruction with regards to running, and that is what I am here for. I want to catch them while they are young so I can install the correct knowledge in their brains before they meet a bad coach. You see, children are a sponge. They absorb everything you tell them. It is imperative that we distribute the correct training information into their brains before they are harmed by junk knowledge from a junk coach. This is where I come in.
If I were to discontinue posting here and discontinue looking out for possible youths who are in need of education on this site, then I would be doing myself, my family, and children around the world a SERIOUS DISSERVICE in regards to helping them and fulfilling my social responsibilities. There is nobody out there with my type, my volume, or my caliber of knowledge and Doctoral level understanding of this sport. Having the absolutely massive and collosal knowledge that I have, and to not end up distributing that knowledge upon a young persons mentality, that in itself would be a moral crime that I could not live with.
I have to fulfill my role. I have to fulfill my destiny. I have to fulfill my fate. I WILL fulfill and carry out of my fate of aiding young runners in need, and I will do that whether you like it or not. I was annointed that role and that fate by a higher power. That is why I am "The Chosen One".

Correct, those who lash out with rage at Coach Dahl are doing so because his success highlights their own failures and inadequacies in life. Thankfully this is just a minor byproduct of his posts.

The whole fake coach, fake times, fake businesses, and fake degrees thing came about around 5 years ago. I think he may have only been lying about his times for the past few months. Before that, he would tell tall tales but make sure they were unverifiable. He said some interesting things though: this fan of his cataloged a few of them.:

Dahl is autistic. He expresses his autism by mimicry. He repeats everything he's ever heard, ad nauseam. He doesn't have any degrees at any Universities. He recites the names of random junior colleges and coursework that he has never taken at them. In fact, junior colleges don't even offer the curriculum that he cites. They offer remedial classes for those who could never qualify for a University. It's a place for aspiring nurses aids and dental hygienists.

No. He likely lives on his own and supports himself. He attended 2 or 3, 4 year universities and a community college, so he likely has a degree or at least enough college education for a decent paying job.
He's reasonably intelligent beyond not knowing (or maybe just not caring) about what is easily verifiable (or not) with a search engine. The whole persona may just be one elaborate trolling; we may be playing in to it with our posts, as he sits and waits to see if he achieves a high score for post count in his threads. There is no indication he believes he did the things he claims he did beyond his stating "not everything is verifiable on the internet".
I think your 1st paragraph is likely true. He likely has a degree or 2 and some sort of suitable employment in Texas for someone with atleast a Bachelors, albeit likely not a coaching job unless its volunteer. I say this because who else would be funding his travels, lodging, etc? I high doubt its a running shop. I've even seen race results for him in events outside the U.S.; so who is financing all of that if he's not employed? News articles suggest that he has no family support, some even revealing domestic violence and restraining orders. His family obviously does not help him unless he's a trust fund baby. All of that points to him having employment. Plus he has custody of atleast 1 son to our knowledge. Single dads typically do not receive welfare or child support in most U.S. jurisdictions.

You make a very good point. Ill make a request to the brojos to freeze this thread or delete it. I'm fine with either choice. I'd prefer freezing only because he has actually caused real harm to everyone's experience here that its nice to have historical documentation. Repetition gets to be too much.
