- Respect for Justin Knight who kept his composure and showed that he has that great combo of talent, grit and smarts.

- Respect for the NAU guys who ran with heart.

- Respect for the distance. You can't surge with 2 miles under in these conditions.

Portland men always seems to show up at nationals. I think it was 2 years ago that only 5 of their guys finished the race and they still podiumed.

Also, is Tyler Day the new 'LetsRun bluecollar' phenom? 4:20/9:28 runner in high school gets 3rd at xc nationals.

Yep. And I'm still disappointed in them.

I said it on the podcast. Why don't we just get rid of all regular season meets? I'm serious. We should just have two meets by this logic. There would be more drama. We have two meets. Conference and nationals. If we need regionals, then we have a third. But everyone is blowing off the season and it's horrible for fans. So since the coaches don't like running hard in regular season meets, let's can them.

I'd rather be BYU. BYU won their conference meet and finished on podium at NCAAs.

Portland got perfect scored at conference meet and finished on podium at NCAAs.

Syracuse had the 4th, 8th, and 9th finishers when they won in 2015
