I think Ben has posted on here a few times now under different names, and going through the stages in predictable fashion for the LR community.

The "I'm going to try to make reasonable, devils advocate style arguments" stage in the hope this all blows over; to the "Oh shit, it's not working! I'm now going to angrily rant nonsense" stage, because HOW DARE people question my questionable ethics in all this.

The funny thing is that I wouldn't have even bothered digging into Ben's background if he didn't keep posting and pushing this thread up. I was already involved with the Dave and Terrie Reading thread so if Ben would have just let this thread die I don't think any other troll here would have bothered doing deep research on him.

What is it with these cheating Brits? They like to scam the naive, take money from charities, and refuse to prove their outrageous claims.

One thing that cheating threads all have in common is that cheats will defend cheats, they come in various guises.

These are generally the culprit but will often be an opportunistic troll, I sense occasionally though that it is someone who recognises their own character and reacts defensively.

This Ben Rogers guy sure conned a lot of people with his fake marathons. Even race organizations, running groups, and his own kid's school. Did no one bother to check that he is a massive financial fraud that was in the news?

So he either did NOT run it or he cheated wearing some one else's Bib? He has raised nearly £2000. Ed Parker donated today £30.00 ... Ed Parker is CEO of Walking With The Wounded .... weird .... where is Andy Sloan... who's bib was he wearing? Why would he raise money for a different charity, and then not run it? Ed Parker was also given a place by Virgin London Marathon ... Why?

Where was that posted? Facebook? Another charity run scammer we need to investigate?
