And those towns are really small.
Yesterday, they stayed in the driveway of someone's home. Very nice of someone to let them do that.
Looks like another 75+ mile day.

He's really close to bringing his daily average above 70, including that zero day!
It's awesome to see so many people coming out to run with him as well.
Thursday bump. Looks like he should get past Lincoln, NE today. First "major" city in a long time.

And his home! Though he is moving to Missouri very soon. He said his lunch stop will be in his own driveway.

I noticed his route takes him right through a Lincoln neighborhood, so I wondered about that. I also see his route goes right through Iowa State campus, his alma mater.

Looks like that might be where he's going right this second... Lat: 40.868540 Lon: -96.701016 ?
Looks like he is home now. I would hope he has a few minutes to cut the lawn.
Pete was in San Francisco last month when he decided to run home for lunch.
it'd be funny if he just decided to stop. i know i never want my runs to loop back by my house halfway through.
Agreed. Makes it easy to quit. But he's a trooper. Six days away from doing this for a month.
No....
Sleep...
Til....
Iowa
Hard to believe he's hours from being done with Nebraska.
And now Iowa...
Iowa

Don't stay overnight in a corny-clown infested corn field.
Some runs where he barely goes to the east, mostly to the north? Isn't he making a lot of extra distance because of this?
I can't imagine he has had much time to ruminate on the most efficient course while running 12 hours/day, yathink?

I think the route was planned to go through his current home in Lincoln and his hometown in Boone. The northerly section in eastern NB (Lincoln to Omaha) is really the only major deviation from east-west.
