Can you find any instances of boys dominating girls sports in California? The Title IX guidance recently offered has been de rigueur for the past 3+ years in California. I coach in the Sacramento area and there have been no issues in my section, but I'll admit I'm a bit ignorant about things happening down south.

Since California has been the trail blazer one can assume all of the problems you're predicting have already occured. Do you have any examples for us?

Different issue. Boys have been playing on girls field hockey teams for years because there is no equivalent fall sport for boys. Same with girls playing football. And I completely agree that there need to be discussions about how hormones affect play. But the boys playing identify as boys.

I understand that transgender folks deserve some legal protections, but there is no way that I would allow my daughter to shower next to some cross-dressing dude with a schlong. We don't event need to mention the pervs who conveniently adopt a new gender identity to work their way into the girls' locker room.

The decree explicitly states that said cross-dressing dude cannot be offered individual facilities as an alternative--they must be allowed to use the facilities of their "gender identity". If a natural born girl objects, it is she who must be offered alternative facilities. How is that fair? How does that make sense? Are we implying that it's the natural born girl who does not have a penis that is the one with the problem?

My question is this: what are they going to do when ALL of the girls object? Let the dude shower alone in the girls' facility, which would be the equivalent of giving him alternative facilities?

Sun King, the decree explicitly gives the right to anyone who identifies themselves as a female to take part in any activities for that gender. This would obviously include sports.

Is it your thought that no biologically male students will attempt to join a female team based on their own "gender identity"? If that is your thought, then why do you think the explicit provision to do so was made in the decree? Is it your thought that the decree is completely unnecessary and irrelevant in this respect? Are no transgender students taking advantage of this in California?

If no one is going to actually take advantage of this "right", then maybe we should remove this from the decree.
