Everything in proportion. I now know not 1, not 2, but SIX over-90 women who have never done HRT, and who have varying degrees of ability from almost perfect to very compromised, who have all lived great lives, some with family, some without, some with kids, some without, some 90, some 96+.
Not one of them has ever been desperate for a pharmaceutical quick fix (although one of them did like to get high on pot).
People do this stuff as though there is no cost, only “upside”.

I say to HRT losers: GET A LIFE.
But it’s obviously too late for them.
I say instead: GET LOST.
Aside from masters athletes where the rules prohibit the use of DHEA supplementation & your anecdotes who prove nothing, DHEA has show in scientific research beneficial effects with the elderly.

Just 8 years ago the 100m record was much slower at 12.80s, that is a massive drop in such a short time.
By eye she is 7 to 8% bodyfat, and that is granting leeway for being female (assuming XX genetics). Outside of bodybuilding competitors, that is the lowest I've seen on a.woman.
i would imagine any level of competition will lead to cheating by a few who just want to win. Masters probably a few who get away with it due to lax testing, as was the case with para olympics until very recently.
I don't believe there is any evidence that DHEA enhances endurance performance.
The 2006 Villareal study showed that DHEA significantly enhances the effect of weight training on muscle mass & strength with elderly men & women over placebo. The ages of the participants in the study was 65 - 78 yrs. And some of the gains in strength were dramatic over placebo.

There's probably more masters & aging athletes that take DHEA than you realize, particularly in the U.S where it's available OTC as a dietary supplement.
It's costs peanuts & can be purchased off the shelves (or online) & health food & grocery stores - no different from creatine, whey protein, BCAAs, etc.
What would stop master's athletes from spending a few bucks on bottle of DHEA, starting a regiment & not worrying about it if there's lax or no testing in their field of competition?
