You're so wrong, it's ridiculous. Arguing about these things are the way in which we refine our own views, understand the views of others, and become informed citizens able to make good decisions.

Sometimes the point of discussion is not to agree but to understand. I hope I have convinced you that this thread has value.

Agreed. I'm completely open to changing my mind if I'm convinced I'm wrong. I like participating in policy and philosophical discussions, because I like challenges to my thinking.

I also agree with Let's Think that we've reached the fundamental disagreement between the positions and I'm not sure there's any more explaining left to do, so now we should turn the discussion to actual policy implementation.

Lifted this article from another thread that oddly drifted to the topic of this thread. Anyway, the article about abortions being the most common form of birth control in Russia:

That's unfortunate. I definitely don't see abortion as a "birth control option" at all.

What's interesting is that the article says abortions are only legal until the 12th week of pregnancy, which is the first trimester.

Republicans should be required to abort all of their children.
