Goose always has a very strong last 150m and especially last 30-50m. Almost without fail if he is in striking distance in the last few seconds he gets there or very close. Never ever falters late
With that 3:30.67 mark, this is Cheruiyot's 10th straight year sub-3:31, stretching to 2017. If you extend it to sub-3:32 its 11 years with 2016. Approaching some longevity records now
Gressier and especially Almgren were pretty awful.
Well, maybe shows you can't stay away from 1500 a long time with only 5000m/ 10000m and the road circus and still expect to run a very fast 1500..... 🤔🧙♂️
Good run by Myers. Jakob's age record for 19-year olds, 3:28.68, survives. I'm happy (biased Norwegian here)
Myers went too early, and as a 19 year old, didn’t have the strength to hold off Nuguse. Doubt it’ll happen again. to some extent, the same thing happened with Hodgkinson. Werro keyed off her for the win. KH isn't race fit yet, and Werro is. We’ll see what happens when it really matters.
Lutkenhouse is the most impressive phenom I’ve ever seen. 17 years old..
Think he could have upped the pace earlier and got himself in better position to kick
His position early was alot better than where he usually ends up. He's injury / illness prone but keeps coming back and is big meet performer so this was really good early season and progress for him.
