Hocker slowed down on purpose, can't blame the pacemaker here.
Why does hocker agree to run a race meant to be a world record race only to block people who want to follow the pacer? There’s like a million races he could run just for the win if that’s all he was there for.
They should have gone around him. Obviously he did that on purpose.

I mean someone else could have passed him early to put them back on it but they didn't. Thats why you need a Fisher to get up there early and actually push it from the go.
slow race, nobody was gonna beat Hockers kick. great effort by Wolfe, went for it. Beamish closed hard as usual but waited too long. Ky Robinson needs to work on his tactics, he's always up there but finishes outside the medals. Strand should have run the mile.
Allen did a fine job. He started off running 30s and opened up a gap. He slowed to maintain contact and every time he wound it back up the gap reopened. When Samuel started pushing the pace Allen responded and got back on track.
I agree I don't understand why runners sometimes decide not to go with a pre-arranged pace. If they don't want a pacer, totally fine, but it's always awkward to watch the pacer struggle to get the athletes engaged.
Good kick from Hocker, was rooting for Wolfe at the end. Kerr, it's indoors, why do you have sunglasses on?
Lol, remember all the clowns claiming that strand would run 7:55. Good job Hocker, 56 second last lap. Decent but time is pedestrian.
56 for last 1/4 mile. more like 55
beamish had fastest last lap of course
I know I'm gonna get downvoted but I don't think today's race is scaring Jakob lol. He probably would've finished around where Kerr finished with the minimal amount of training he has had. Jakob is truly on another level when he's healthy.
I can't believe some were predicting that this race would challenge 7:54...
...see to do that, you can't be a p*ssy.
It wouldn’t have been 7:54 but still would have been much faster if Grant was actually there, that’s why people were predicting faster. If grant wasn’t supposed to be therrr i think most people would’ve predicted something much slower because why wouldn’t Cole, a kicker, rather control the race and win at the end?

I'm not sure anyone other than Fisher really wanted to chase it. Hocker didn't, Kerr doesn't care since he already has it, others aren't good enough to get it.
totally different race without Fisher. Bummed he had to scratch
Class from Hocker, it always looked like his race. Kerr looked good in his first race back from injury, probably made his move a little early, I think Wolf spooked him. I know the time was mediocre but it was a good race. Lots of guys made big moves and took it on. It's not all about world records
