9:21 would have been good for 8th at USATF in the race Allie had some sort of mental episode and failed to show. Allie is a 9:40 +/- 5 seconds. That is the bell curve results for her.
So she makes a new video talking about how she’s been overtraining and pushing herself too hard in short periods of time to try and reach these goals she set, and her and her coach have set up a new plan to fix this. The video then starts with her doing a zone 4 run in the heat where she says the hills were a struggle because she hasn’t done any recently……….after gets an ice pop as a “treat”, and then says she has a 5k race in 6 weeks. So frustrating to watch, the cycle continues.
That diet of hers is terrible. Frozen pizza at USATF and new video is popsicles and Rays BBQ sauce pizza with pepperoni. She is a mess. Why train so much if you are so undisciplined with your fuel? Not surprising her physical and mental issues with her food choices.

Interesting to see (a few of) the comments pushing back, for once.

I love Allie's videos and I want to see her succeed. I'm going to say this again, she has a major coaching problem. I see that Allie has taken ownership and accountability for her overtraining to the best of her ability, but not Roche. He's still out there telling her to to run 60 plus miles a week (which is high for her) and convincing her that racing in 6 weeks is a 'far out' goal. That's wild to me. He just keeps feeding her anxiety monster versus helping her truly recover from the virus and/or overtraining. It's his job to help her develop better training practices, so she doesn't run an easy run at zone 4. Of course, I'm not sure if the 10 - 12 mile run at an easy pace was what she needs right now either.

It's your right to love Allie's videos but any sane, rational and intelligent person would question why if you are not a masochist? Can you honestly say a coaching change to the best case scenario would allow her to make a National team? The talent in the outlier event has passed her. She is a 9:40 runner and ~10 healthy runners today are at least 20 seconds faster than her and a couple injured ones on the sidelines are too. There are high school girls who would dominate her like Jane. Feel free to enjoy the Real Housewives of Nome and catch up on the Kardashians while you're at it but Allie is just a product placement shill because of her mental instability that attracts "fans" like you who are red flag magnets

Wow, your a sh*tty person.
It's not about Allie making a National Team. It would be fantastic to see, of course. My wish for her is to find the right coach/team that supports her in maximizing her potential. She clearly wants to keep running and finding out what she can do, and I hate to see someone steered in the wrong direction. I want that for every runner, not just Allie.

Kinda brutal, but you're right! She's definitely overrated, and has a lot going on upstairs. I think her videos are heart felt and authentic, AND smart marketing/advertising for free stuff. Unfortunately, Alli is searching for something that isn't there. She doesn't have the true mental toughness needed to be a true competitor.

It's "you're" not "your" so crack a book instead of watching reality tube vids

Alli enjoys the process, but not the arrival.
Allie does not enjoy the process or she wouldn't cry constantly in front of the camera. Imagine when the camera is off? This guy could help Allie:

I'm aware of the difference. My phone unfortunately does not and autocorrects all the time. Either way, you ARE still a sh*tty person.

Have you even watched this whole video? The guy had nothing nice to say, is trying to push some sort of toxic wellness narratives, and knows nothing about running. And since you feel so entitled to tell me what to do, STOP watching this trash tube and try hard in something.

If I was Allie and insecure and mentally unstable, I would be wiping away tears after reading your comment, but please continue to rudely lash out as you reveal yourself the hypocrite. I reiterate, you are free to be a "fan" of mentally unstable as a red flag magnet. Does Allie need more training advice or mental health advice? Goatis and anyone half a brain can plainly see Allie is in distress and needs mental health advice. Running is detrimental to her like an alcoholic working a bar.

Allie: "If I can just torture myself for an extra 30 minutes of threshold training everyday with a genius coach, then I can likely cut 5 seconds off my 3000m Steeplechase time and fulfill all my potential." (and still finish 8th place if three or four other girls DNS due to injury)
Allie is clearly in mental distress and is a ticking time bomb. She needs mental help immediately and should stop running. Can't see the forest through the trees. Running is detrimental to her and even if she did everything correct and on her best day would still see the same result and the tears would flow. She needs to move on in life and find sourdough or something.

Okay, you're a mean spirited individual. And let's stop pretending you are concerned about Allie's mental health.

You have a memory problem. Only a few posts ago I was saying that her coach is still overtraining her. I don't want to see Allie hurting or in pain or tortured.

Goatis hit the nail on the head. Allie has been brainwashed into thinking if she doesn't torture herself (despite any coaching), she is failing as she is not doing enough to succeed. She needed to cut weight and then diagnosis herself with an eating disorder. She needs to diagnosis herself as a 5150 and stop running. There is no success for her there. She has achieved all the "success" she can attain and is now just a hostage torture victim with no chance of happiness. Goatis said it best. Get rid of the substitute puppy that you are using for product placement revenue and go have a child, get out of your basement destroying your body on Zwift, quit all the fake supplements that add nothing to your female body and find a male partner who is not tied monetarily to your torture chamber Track and Field. Her only chance at happiness but she is one huge red flag who needs real help.
