I think what the Father of the murdered young man said was profoundly important - “I’ve already forgiven him. God takes care of our family.”
That doesn’t mean justice shouldn’t be served and it will! So many lives have been destroyed by this and will be for years and years to come the only way to combat the outrage is with justice and compassion mixed equally together.
At this point, little is known about the suspect's motives and whether he was reacting to the situation or whether he was reacting to a bad race or the like, but what is known is that he brought a knife to a track meet. Somewhere in his morning preparations, his conscience should have told him that a knife is unnecessary at a track meet. But, he brought it, and he ultimately acted out in accordance with what he allowed himself to do by bringing it. The following short video highlights the dangers that our youth face in similar situations and I recommend this be shown to your own children and any youth that you may coach.
How is this story not getting more national attention?
Reverse the races and it would.
Revese the races and this thread would already be 20 pages long of Letsrunners coming on here after scouring his social media to report that the black victim listened to rap music that glorified violence and that he was not as innocent as the mainstream media made him out to be. Of course the focus would have turned to how the REAL tragedy was how the liberal media was shamelessly using this story to forward their agenda and to divide the country. Ultimately it would have devolved into how if the black guy had just been polite, yes sir, no sir, he would still be alive.
Well, we found the jailhouse bender. Anyway, the killer is an impulsive savage, his instincts not kept in check because of the lop-sided permissiveness in society that bends over backwards inorder to NOT hold certain ‘minawties’ responsible for their actions.
Our society has issues. Our country is big. White kids do crazy stuff too. Not sure how you can discount that. Any race can have a crazy person. Can't say whether race was a factor here. I think almost anyone is capable of doing crazy things in the wrong circumstances. I'll give you that some recent more lefty laws that are more lenient may be ineffective. That said, I think if you look more broadly at America, it's white people who have been held LEAST responsible for their actions. And I would say it is not close.
Agreed, especially when our current nit-wit white president has not been held accountable for his actions. He represents the "majority" of America, therefore the "majority" of America's are of the same behavior to lie, deny and cheat.
Utter nonsense. Blacks receive worse funding, worse schools, grow up at far higher poverty rates, are over-policed, have shorter life expectancy, are discriminated against constantly in job and housing applications by their names being race-identified. If a very small number of African-Americans, most of them upper middle class and the children of African immigrants, get preferred at elite colleges, that's a drop in the bucket, fewer than 1% of African-Americans of college age, whereas you get close to 20% of elite college students are from the top 1% of income.
Yup!!!! I’d rather be “weak” any day than either dead, beat up or involved in a stupid needless lawsuit! It felt really good to walk away from the ongoing Chittardness that constantly goes down out there. I know the man that I am and I’m not going to Fu*k over my life for a frick’in latte !
He or she who runs away, lives to fight another day.

This may be the first stab of the Second Civil War.
