Thank you for regularly putting Jakobites in their place. I love the way you knock out their nonsense with facts and logic.
If Jakobites want to see their hero run an 800, they should tell him to meet up with the GST racers in Miami, Philadelphia, or Los Angeles. That is, if he has the guts (he doesn’t).
There’s no reason for him to run thE 800. Unless you also feel the same logic should be applied to Kerr and he needs to race Jakob over 5k. Or even 3k. Haahaahaha
Kerr when healthy and fully fit wouldn’t stand a terrible chance to defeat Jakob in the 3K. He’s run 8 flat for 2 miles indoors. That’s about a 7:23. So he is in Fisher and Aragawi’s ballpark. I’m sure can break 7:20 if he fully peaked for it and could maybe sneak by if Jakob had a slightly off day.
I'm going to say a few things. If it turns out that I am completely wrong, then you all get to throw this post back into my face, and I will admit to being an idiot. But I have a strong feeling that this will not happen.
Yodeler, that's all BS, isn't? You made it all up, didn't you? And there is no video of Jingy 400m, or a video of El G 1:42, or any of these chats with Jingy, etc etc etc. Right?
I must admit.....you are good!! You had me!! Now some people might laugh at me for falling for this, but they will have to admit that you are quite detailed and convincing.
Now, I'm angry at you - but I'm also worried about you. What kind of person would go to these lengths? And why?
Part of me wants to go to LR to have all of this exotic BS deleted. But I suppose it needs to stay here to show others how expert some Trolls are.
And you ARE a Troll!! You might be a "nice" Troll, with a pleasant demeanour, but lies are lies are lies.
Like I said, if you prove me wrong I will be crucified.
Go ahead. Prove me wrong.
It looks like YouTube took the El G video down. I sent their customer service line a message to request putting it back up.
I have spoken to my friend who knows Hicham very well. My friend was a journalist out of France and travelled extensively on assignment to Morocco. He told me he is going to email Hicham right now to see if we can get that video. He said if he can’t get in touch with Hicham, he will contact his brother John El Guerrouj because he knows he has a copy of the video as well. I need my friend because the two brothers speak French, but very little English.
I will of course keep you updated every step of the way. Cheers.
Cool, just spoke to my friend who spoke to the brother. He said he dropped the el and goes by John Guerrouj. Here is a translation of their conversation:
Greetings to all my new friends! Peace be to all and may you all receive health and prosperity! I am John Guerrouj! I would be happy to share the video of my amazing brother’s 800m best time and it is my sincere desire you all be greatly thrilled. I know I have the video but I must rummage my home in Casablanca to find it. I will send it as soon as I find it. Until then may God smile on you all!

And now, it's getting more obvious, and I am more confident in my previous post!!!
I'm outta this thread.* I made my point.
(*I will return to apologize and own my idiocy if I am proven wrong. Merry Xmas everyone - because I expect that to come first.)

I just spoke to Gjert himself. Jakob ran 1:39 in training. He says he doesn't run the 800m at meets because he's already secretly broken the WR for it and doesn't want to take the hype away from all the recent 1:41 runners from last season.
Applying facts, such as modern tracks and shoes over grass and virtual clogs, isn't speculating. It is an empirically arrived at conclusion. Suggesting Ingebrigtsen can run 1:44 or even 1:42, because fans say he can with nothing empirical to support it, is merely fantasizing.
A former elite 800m athlete applying facts, isn't speculating. It is an empirically arrived at conclusion. But you think you know better that a pro. You are merely fantasizing.
There aren't any facts that improve Ingebrigtsen's 800 pr from 1:46-mid to 1:44 or even faster. In that event the difference in times is between totally different athletes. One is a distance runner, as he is, and the other would be an 800/1500 runner, which he isn't.

The rest of the thread will believe you. I believe he has also equalled Van Niekerk's wr in training.
