Interesting. I guess you never know. She may decide she wants to use her grad year somewhere else. I can't imagine Chmiel leaving though.
I would be shocked if Bush were to transfer to another school. She seems to be such good friends with all of her Wolfpack teammates. Base on her answer in that podcast, it just made me think that perhaps there is some doubt (maybe small) in her mind as to whether she wants to run another year (anywhere).
and where would she go?? nau for drew bosley?? uhh no ones leaving .. why cant yall just accept it
nc state 2023 line up is this 👇🏻
tuohy
chmiel
bush
tyynismaa
starliper/shaw

rauber/quarzo
🏆🏆🏆🙂
Hey, look, I hope you're right. The only reason I have a slight question about Bush is based upon the statement she made in that podcast. But I absolutely want Bush to be back next year.

actually bush has higher probability of coming back next year than katelyn tuohy

If Bush has eligibility remaining after this year, and I believe that she does, she will be running as a graduate, no?
Anyone that is a graduate should be basing where they want to run as a graduate not on the running program but, rather, on what they want to study academically. Running careers at the top are short. Only a very small percentage go pro and then even those fortunate ones have relatively short careers compared to how long they will be in a career not related to running. Sure, there are those that make careers related to running, fields like coaching, training, etc, but even those numbers are small in comparison.
Bush may be great friends with her teammates, love the school, and all of that, but if NC State is not where she wants to study as a grad, she should look elsewhere. If she does want to stay, great!
As far as the top 7, I agree about Hartman. I am familiar with her and she has a ton of potential. I’m looking for big improvements from her.
Yes. She should be looking to get a degree from a great school like Florida or Stanford orNotre Dame or Michigan. Running and winning is great but 40 years of work is more important.

Bush is not on the Dean's list. I doubt she transfers to a school that's academically higher than NCSU.
I agree. NAU men and NC State women have that advantage of accepting average students who couldn't get accepted to most of the schools who qualify for nationals because they have better academics.
Don't forget Hartman & Howlett! Competition for #7 will be fierce.
Tough for the true freshman recruits. You have to wait two to three years to have a chance to compete for the 6th or 7th spot.
Definitely tougher to crack the top 7, but more like a one year wait for some of the higher level recruits. Rauber was 5th at nationals this year as a redshirt freshman. And it looks like Hartman will be in the competition for top 7 next fall as a redshirt freshman.
