how would a sports -related discussion that has doping allegations by strangers that happens pretty much on every runner that magically dropped their times to be in the same realm as academic fraud??

No. Not more. But if she gets to the final 3, my company does a background check which includes social media. If the other 2 candidates are spotless and Valby's reprt says that there were numerous accusations of drug use, the decision is easy. Think of it like recruiting for running. Two girls have identical times but there are rumors that one parties and isn't a good teammate. Every coach is taking the one with no baggage when filling their last roster spot.

There were never accusations made about Tuohy. And you failed to grasp the analogy. Of course a negative reputation affects recruiting and job prospects.

I have been on this site for more than 10 years and have never seen anything really detrimental to Tuohy posted. It seems to bother you when people predicted that she wouldn't improve. Thise types of discussions are precisely what the site was created for.
