You are correct. Memphis has a woke DA. Steve Mulroy is a far-left progressive and part of the reason Memphis has the most violent crimes per capita in the country. That is what you get with a progressive DA.

You sir I agree with. The crux of this s what happened to this poor young lady, the fear and torment someone bring kidnapped goes through. Sad just isn’t a strong enough adjective.
I went running that morning at 5:25am my time, 4:25am Memphis time. I took off out on the roads and this poor young lady was being dragged into a vehicle. Horrific. No human being deserves that and as you do, I pray she’s still alive.

Looks like the 38-year old Abston was convicted in 2000 of an “aggravated kidnapping charge”, so looks like he has experience in the kidnapping profession since he was 16 and was incarcerated for 20 years before being released about a year back. Unclear if that says anything about whether he does contract kidnapping jobs or if he acts by himself.

My husband suspicion alarm is firing like crazy, the husband being most commonly responsible in such cases, so here’s my conjecture:
I suspect she already had a nontrivial share of her family company transferred to her name, but she being who she is (seemingly at least) preferred to not monetize that share and choosing instead to continue her modest life as a JKG teacher, but the husband figured that he would be the automatic beneficiary of her assets if she died.
Anyone else can only have a ransom motivation that doesn’t appear to be the case, and if she didn’t already have her share of the company in her name, it would make no sense for the husband to want her dead.
IF she has equity in the family business, which is private, then the shareholders' agreement will very likely forbid the "public" sale (liquidation) of her shares buy the husband. But, since she is a teacher and not working in the business, why exactly would she be given equity in the parents' business while they are still running it? My parents own dozens of properties, it is their business, but have not given any to me... and why on Earth would they?
