Please! Haven't we heard enough about that joker JS ?He was proven to be a joke already. Now does anyone know if he was racing it or what happened? Let's wait till he responds. We can't just go off a time, since he won. He may have just stopped by for his holiday and decided to run. Lot's of my mates do that.

As a few other people have already said, he posted a vlog about it. He was upset. He was hoping to have run 31. He clearly wanted to run faster but couldn’t. His 32:36 is nowhere near a 2:19 marathon. The question is - does he have enough time left to get the necessary speed to run a 2;19? It seems very unlikely.

I believe he's somewhere on the autism spectrum. Obviously very high functioning. Ivy league grad and all of that. But he's got some obsessive things going on and overthinks everything.
The top guys keep it simple and they don't worry about this and that. Jumping from this to that. Getting way into the weeds, second guessing, etc.
Take care of the basics. Stay the course. Keep it simple. Stick to the tried and true.
The 32:36 is just about 3 sec per mile faster than 2:19 marathon pace.
Now if he just wanted to get a good effort in at marathon pace, it would have been ok.
But a time trial on a fast course should be more like 31 min and a real race even close to 30 min flat.
His disappointment may show that the intention was indeed a time trial like effort, and that his shape might be more like 2:25+ at the moment instead of 2:19.

Who cares? The fact that you dug this up is an indication that you should live more of your own life and worry a lot less about other people's. His 10k time or if he runs a 2:19 or not, how does that have any impact on your life? Probably as close to zero, if not zero impact

His plan sounded like he was specifically coming down from altitude to run a fast time. He wanted to run at least 31. I think he is clearly in 2:25+ shape though. Can someone go from 2:25 to 2:19 in 30 days? Well, much less, keeping in mind he should have been planning at least a two week taper - so two weeks to get there? He needs a pharmacist at this point.

Is this a joke? Sage involves the entire world in his plans. He does it for the Ad revenue. “Dug this up?” Are you an idiot? Do you think this guy is exposing a secret? Watch his vlogs. All he does is endlessly post and advertise about his plans to qualify. This post is making Sage money - how many people have watched his vlog about this very same disastrous result? That’s money. Whether or not Sage can qualify and his training is an open public dialogue started and encouraged by Sage to make Sage money.
Disclosure: I hope Sage qualifies, I hope he runs 2:15, I hope he does so eating plants, roots, and cardboard. Best of luck to him.
With that said, I get the reasons he doesn't eat meat and I have no problem with how he chooses to eat. I am curious as to why Sage won't at least try switching things up and adding meat to his diet as it has the potential to improve performance. If I was trying to do something that didn't work the first time, I would make any and all reasonable changes (especially a change that has worked for other people). Remember, the meat-eating mountain lion will catch and kill the vegan deer every single time.
Should I buy Sage some bacon? He looks like he could do with it, I'll send it to him from England, hope it gets there in time!

In the US mostly yeah. Just moved to Europe 3 months ago. Everything fenced off with like three layers of high fences. I wish I was kidding. And the running club does not allow me to come and do my own workout. If I come I have to join theirs. Sucks hard.

It'll be close, I for sure hope he gets it, he was close 2 years ago @ Houston. He's been running strong the 2nd half of the year so we shall see. It's a tough time of year to get in peak shape, with the holidays and after a year of racing, not ideal.
More importantly, it was awesome to see his Dad running strong @ 65+ y/o
