Both Gouchers seem to always "...just stop there." Why don't they actually say what they saw?

Goucher is far and away a better human being than AlSal - and that carries a lot more weight with me than footrace accolades.

But did Rupp ever run the Olympic trials without achieving a qualifying time that year, putting himself ahead of athletes who did? Genuine question.

Probably because as he also said in the podcast, that he was just a part of the group as a training partner for Galen, and he realizes that would sound incredibly petty if he revealed that as the primary reason for his feelings toward the group. Better to pretend he's holding back.

Rupp ran 13:37 in high school.

His last 5,000m of his 10,000m American Record was 13:18.

Goucher's best 5,000m was 13:10.....

Goucher's 10,000m PB is 27:59. Rupp ran close to 28:25 for the last 10k of his Chicago marathon.

These guys aren't comparable.

They probably can't actually say what they saw without getting sued into oblivion for violating non-disclosure agreements they almost certainly signed as a part of their contracts with Nike and NOP.

It's for the good of the sport. For now they look foolish but one day USADA will come forward and bust Alberto & Co.

He has always come across as somehwhat of a manic depressive. You can hear it in his voice when talking about only being able to run 25-30 miles a week.

You left out how he finished in the top half of the field and was definitely more deserving of the last few entrants. Oh, and the USATF rules allow them to choose who gets into races so go plant your sour grapes elsewhere.

They will get sued if they don't have proof for defamation. They have good lawyers.

I do not like the Gouchers. Adam especially. He was as good as Rupp, or any current American 5k runner, and he is being pissy.
