Pappas doesn't have the head to run a fast marathon, she may be fit but thinks to much.

I want to go with Laura, but she is carrying a pubic bone injury, that has been affecting her running. It might rear its head during the race, so I'm sure how much she can push during the race.
However, if she is not bothered by it, she should be able to be the first female american to cross the finish line.
i think i'd bet someone $100 pappas doesn't go under 2:30. not sure why i've got that conviction though. and i definitely don't have the hate for her that a lot of folks do. on the same note, i think i'd also bet $100 thweatt doesn't go under 2:30. think this is just some what-have-you-done-for-me-lately-ism? weird to get the signal so strongly here.

Only one of these women is a marathon runner. The other two are professional Fakers.

As for Cragg and Hasay, you don't get to play if you can't get to the starting line healthy. Nobody cares about the fittest, fastest person on the sidelines.

I like Jorgensen for 1st American around 2:26. Everyone's like, how dare Gwen assume she belongs among these giants of US women's running like Hall, Huddle, Linden, Shalane, Hasay, & Cragg, but c'mon. Just look at Jorgensen, she's obviously more talented than any of them with those looooong legs and crazy lean body, except for maybe Huddle. Jorgensen's just built for the distance. And US women's marathoning isn't really that deep. Runners like Hall, Shalane, & Cragg are really pretty mediocre. Why shouldn't a mega talent like Jorgensen just walk in and take over? People make too much out of these sub-2:30 women. If you've got the right physiology and you train hard, anyone can do it. I think Gwen should be looking a 3rd gold medal after she medals in Tokyo, but in the Winter Olympics. Think about it, Gwen Jørgensen, with those lean Scandinavian endurance genes, in the Nordic 30km. She's got the endurance, she knows cold & snow cuz she's from Wisconsin, and after that elite swim career she's got the guns for classic double poling. Oh yeah, it's on. Gwen Jørgensen, taking down Norwegians and Swedes in the nordic distance events at the Beijing 2022 Winter Games. Gwen, your first tri, 'thon, XC ski triple gold medal stud, uff da!
