You never thought it it like that? It's the most obvious thing in the world. Did you see last year racing? He couldn't catch his breath and his eyes were bloodshot all the time.

Nice win for Engels in the 800. Looked relaxed the whole way and was interacting with the crowd. Centro ran conservatively the whole way; Boris looked good through 600, then faded hard.

The rabbits are universally at least 10 meters up in every race.

In the men's 800, Berian was the first racer at 400 (52.31) and then moved back. . Centro (53.07) was like 6th but moved up a little but the top 3 were way better than everyone. Engels gets the win.

Shannon Rowbury's comment about him not having a lot of altitude training seems to be a reference to what I'd been hearing in that he was struggling to keep up in training at altitude and then he just flat out admitted in in the post-race interview. Guy just is a good racer.

It's a shame when athletes who very well may be completely clean are running at a high level, then get hurt, and then are assumed to be 'off the dope.'

Likely story. Berian did not just get injured last week. His last "fast" run was almost three years ago. I think you can write him off.

Shalaya Kipp won the women's steeple. Think she lead for the last 2k but always had people with her. Mel Lawerence kicked well to get 2nd but didn't challenge Shalaya. One of the alergian women was third. Think all three were 9:44. Men's steeple going now, but they ran the first 1K super slow. Like 9:10 pace according to the announcer and then they picked it up.

Speaking of doping: It is interesting to see Stepanova's times from before she got popped (consistent 1:58-2:00, PR of 1:56.99) to after ( 2:04-5, best of 2:02).

As a masters runner, I with the same boost I would have gone from national-level also-ran to vying for a world championship podium.

Men's steeple goes out in 3:03 for 1st k. Who in the hell goes out to Oxy and goes out in 3:03? I mean that's ridiculous. The steeple is the one event I felt could be run fast without rabbits as they aren't running all that fast. I guess it's better to go out too slow than too fast. If only the rabbits in London would do that.

Finishing time is going to be decent but man that first k was slow.

Not sure the announcer had the splits right because MJ Erb just won in 8:32. Mahoney second. He and Erb had a good battle over the last lap. 6 guys got US standard of 8:40

Ok. I know I was ripping the 303 but we just had proof that it's way better to go out to slow than too fast.

Ok. The NOP just sent out a tweet saying Engels is giong to be in the Bowerman mile. Is that true? He's got a lane in that? I guess with all of the Kenyan dopers getting busted their are lanes open but I'm pleasantly surprised even with his connections that he's got a spot on the start line.
