The world indoors, to me, would be only slightly more exciting than a b or c level regional outdoor meet. And I can't even begin to wrap my mind around non-metric distances like the mile. Kipketer is still a second and half away, man that performance was good. He went 1:43.96 in the heats, then later the same day went 1:42.67. That's what a 1:41 runner does on an indoor track.

It wasn't later on the same day that Kipketer ran 1:42.67, it was 2 days after his 1:43.96 heat.

Korir's only had one real season on the global stage so far... I love Brazier and am a huge fan, but if anyone looks like a world beater and doesn't culminate it's him.
However, Korir is definitely 1:42-capable this year. I'd love to see Brazier and Murphy chase down 1:43 or 1:42 as well. Speaking of Americans, Windle with a great result! I think between Korir and Brazier, Windle's performance is a little overshadowed but shoutout to the guy for breaking big after last year.
Murphy dropping from 1:50 to 1:46 was very good news. The fact that Korir looks like he can beat anyone in the world right now does not mean that he is going to absolutely dominate the event for the next few years, because he also looked fantastic last year and then did not figure at World's. In the 800m, even a Kipketer standing head and shoulders above the field, figuratively, can be beaten at championships. Donavan and Clayton could be running 1:42s this summer and who knows what will happen at next year's world's. Being beaten soundly doesn't mean for certain that it will always happen. I would like to see Brazier run a fast indoor or outdoor mile against a strong field this year, because while his sprint ability is not at its maximum right now, he has never looked as good at the mile.

lol, Korir may win a race here and there in a "spectacular" time but I don't think he'll be a medal winner on the world stage.
Bosse & K-shot are going to be on the podiums for the next 5-10 years. Clayton's silver may have been a fluke.
