To me, Kipchoge's Berlin win with insoles flapping, his devastating London run, Nike 2-hour and this run are all equally awesome. Any of them are equal to or better than anything anyone else has run for a marathon, and he has done it FOUR TIMES IN A ROW.

Actually, five times if you count his 70-second win in a tactical Olympic marathon, For comparison, Sammy Wanjiru won in 2008 by 44 seconds, and that was with a much much harder front half (which makes for larger gaps). In fact, it was the largest margin in an Olympic marathon since 1972.

Berlin was just like the 84 Olympic Marathon to me. I spent years trying to figure out which combination of Salazar, DeCastella and Seko it would be, while Lopes was plain as day the Danger Man.

oh and the fact that if KB had decided to hang out he prob would have run a 2:05, lost desire, shit conditions and as we see from his manager is that he showed up way out of shape.

not bad to consider a way out of shape kb can still hold WR shape for 1/2 the race in sh*t conditions, not bad to consider that kipsang said he i was in super super shape and dropped out too.

kb would have run a 2:05 if he had continued, now we all know that kb has no real love for the marathon, just the ego to have the WR. so why would you think he would want to grind out a 2:05 at best (still better than ruppy poop will ever do) and then be mentally and physically drained and have to start up the training for the spring marathon season?

you can talk sh*t to me all you want, but a 90% kb missed the WR by only a few seconds. if he was in 100% shape this year and it was good weather i think he could have run 2:02:30's, but thats right around what time kipchoge would have run as well....so if it was how i thought it would be it would have been such an amazing duel till the end, with my money on kb by 2-3 seconds.

but kb showed up unfit, and it was sh*t weather. weather that caused kipsang to drop, and for kipchoge to run 1 min slower than he prob should have, and even admit it was the hardest marathon yet.

so the question is now, will kb retire after jos scolded him? or will he get serious and get the WR then retire? who knows.

personally i think if i was claiming WR and only in 60% fitness i would say "man f*ck running, its hard, boring and the weather was sh*t anyways, why bother"

i dont know if kb has the desire anymore to go for it, where kipchoge will be like geb, run till his body forces him to stop cause he loves it

All I can say is Kipsang should have made it look slightly convincing it was poor acting in my view. Expect to see him in Chicago attempting tge world record. He is an extremely intelligent guy,he quickly realised the conditions would not permit record breaking he decided to do a 30k tempo training at world record pace drop out,make up an excuse and recover quickly in time for Chicago where there will be no Kipchoge or Kenny B.pure genius I think I only wished he acted more convincingly.

Surprisingly you make some good points here. For the sake of the sport lets hope KB actually puts in some training and enters London in the spring (hopefully skipping Dubai).

As for your boy Rupp, we'll see what he does in Chicago. I still maintain if he enters a time trial such as London or Berlin he could run 2:06 high but I wouldn't be surprised if he goes back to Boston next year then possibly New York.

He is a god damn wus for that crap. Dibaba barfed up her vagina and a kidney trying to catch up with Mary, and probably would have have caught her if it wasn't for that incident, and she still ran 2:17! She slowed down threw up, and then stopped and threw up again. She shook it off, and got back on pace.

Kip didn't even try to continue or shake it off. Either it was contrived, or he wussed up. And he is my favorite male marathoner.

illegal because many of those aid stations were not

monitored. D a n g e r o u s.

And.

Elite aid/water bottles should be top sealed with

a film/plastic/cap that can be removed by the teeth.

Eliminate the corruption.
